What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I have one and it does make great coffee - more like espresso though. I just make it Americano style- brew the coffee in the aeropress and then add ho****er to taste- unless I'm in the mood for espresso. :)

"Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
working half day today - need to come home early and start cooking. We're having Thanksgiving at my mom's, but she hates cooking, so my sister and I make everything and bring it over. I'm doing the turkey, stuffing, and sweet potato casserole
QOTD: I avoid Black Friday like the Black Death. In fact, we really don't do much in the way of presents anymore. We're all older and have everything we need, so we usually do gift certificates, small practical things, and/or re-gifting. It's cheap and still fun. We focus more on being with family and having a fancy dinner - more like Thanksgiving than Christmas, really...
17 months out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with SF blackberry sauce
S: coffee with half & half, iced protein pumpkin/Miralax latte
L: not sure - maybe asparagus soup with 1/2 scoop of unflavored protein powder - or maybe tuna with balsamic vinaigrette
D: pork chop with cole slaw (made with miso-sesame vinaigrette)
probably another Greek yogurt or SF pudding as a treat...
Good morning DD2 and crew. I am hit or miss getting here to post recently, we've had a family crisis recently. My sister in law has been admitted to the hospital with some non life threatening issues, but that is leaving my brother in a tight spot. So, my nieces are coming over to stay the night tonight and then will be joining us for thanksgiving at my inlaws tomorrow. Please say a prayer or swing a turkey for my sisters quick recovery. It's always so rough on my brother when this kind of thing happens.
DD2QOTD: I have never been black Friday shopping. I was always the low man on the totem pole when it came to taking that day off, so I always worked it. With my new position, I am again the low man, but that doesn't really matter much. Unfortunately, I am not eligible for PTO just yet, so while I could take the day off without pay, I'm choosing to work to make that money! I have to take off next Thursday, since my hubby is having hand surgery, so I need to minimize my time out. I am an online shopper, but I haven't really started shopping this year yet, which is unusual for me. Mostly because I haven't really had any extra money to spend. I won't get my first paycheck from this new job until the 2nd, and then I'll have to take the time to pay the bills first then see where I stand.
15 months 19 days since surgery
B: 2x Oatfit oatmeal packets (I love this stuff, it's high carb, but it satisfies me and is yummy)
L: Leftover rotisserie chicken
D: Not sure, I'll have to feed the nieces tonight and I'm totally not prepared for that, so I'll probably just order something.
S: shrimp with ****tail sauce
totals without dinner
calories 703 protein 69 carbs 70 (gah) fat 17
Looks like I'll be having meat for dinner, I just don't know what kind of meat yet. Maybe I'll have some TJ's meatballs while they family eats something else.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I'll be back on Friday.
Hope your sister in law is out of the hospital soon and all gets better
