What's on your Menu Today (Monday) RNYers?
Super cold here too...all of 49 degrees for a few minutes this morning before the sun came up. I know it isn't as cold as many of you have but for Texans it is freezing!
Sorry to hear about your father's illness. There are lots of amazing things that good doctors can do. Will keep him and you in my thoughts and hope for great outcomes.
QOTD: I am a minimalist. Don't much think or care about 'things' for the house to decorate. My Guy is a collecting nut. He loves antique shops and knickknacks. We have a five piece collection of Mexican lobby posters from various ridiculous exploitation films from the sixties and seventies. I got them framed from his collection years ago as a gift to him and they are hanging in our bedroom. In our old house they were in the living room but the children complained enough about the 'weird' scaring off their friends that when we moved they became bedroom art.
Here is an example...this is not one we actually have but you get the idea..
He also has the house covered in Virgin of Guadalupe icons, novena candles, Lotteria images from local Austin artists and various tourist grade 'masks'. I had a friend walk in years ago and take one look around and turn to me and say, "I didn't know you were Catholic?" LOL I had to explain, not Catholic... just married weird. It is funky and fun. I love all the bright colors.
