What's on your Menu Today (Monday) RNYers?
Good Morning Daisy! We are getting some rain here at the moment that is much needed. Hope a nice warm cup of coffee warms up your bones. I had a great weekend, for those that don't post on the weekend-hubby and I made a day trip to the beach and I got my tattoo I have been wanting for quite some time. It's on my wrist and is of a dove with my daughters heart beat EKG attached to it.
I am on vacation this week an aside of having to log in for a few hours for work here and there I am hoping to enjoy the time away.
So sorry to hear about your dad, but I am glad that he is able to see the best and will send prayers for sure.
Any idea when you will hear the results from Amy's tests?

Good Monday menu goddesses and gods. I am so envious of your snow this morning. On the news they showed Syracuse, and I cursed Kristin and her good luck. Kidding! Kinda.
Daisy, I am so sorry about your father. This is such a hard time, watching our beloved parents struggle with aging. There is so little we can do, except show up for them and love them. I wish I could give you a hug. Hang in there, and love to you and your family.
QOTD: I have mostly original and vintage art work. I have original art from local artists, and vintage pieces that I've picked up on my trips to Paris. I believe they are wall paper samples from the 1920's, and they are beautiful. I also have a series of framed menus from a Hawaiian Cruise Ship from the '40's and a bunch of Russian and Polish icons. The oldest is from the 18th century. Finally, I also have a collection of Santos. The oldest of those is from the 17th Century. So, an eclectic collection of stuff.
i am dialing way back on the carbs this week. I am up towards the top of my acceptable range, and I don't like it! I've noticed that my portions are creeping up. I still weigh all of my protein, but it is the measuring cup stuff I am struggling with. I am going to be weighing everything I can instead of measuring.

Hi folks--
crazy busy morning. Had to get the younger into the o to fix a braces problem. Now I'm back at Sprint trying to see if I can get a replacement phone for my older son before we leave. (That's not looking good). Yesterday was crazy busy getting their term projects done-- but both are off with completed projects! Not sure what it is about Sunday's but yesterday I also felt really really icky - weak and shaky-- while out doing errands. I need to find a good purse snack to combat this-- desperation led me to a soft pretzel which killed my carb count for the day.
qotd: I have one original painting called Union. I wish I could find the artist because I love his work. I hate having pictures of people hanging. i prefer abstracts that show profile, silhouettes etc. I don't want faces looking at me from a wall. I have two other nicely framed prints.
