Good morning Daisy and menu friends , Wow I can't believe how cold it's turned . Friday it was so gorgeous out and yesterday and today the wind has turned raw . We had a great weekend spent lots of time with the grandkids and got a luxurious duvet which I'm loving . Daisy I'm so sorry to hear that your dad has a serious heart condition . 2 1 /2 years ago I too had a series heart condition and underwent open heart surgery . I only tell you this to say it's absolutely amazing what can be done today . Wonderful that you were able to get your dad into a Specialist that you trust . My prayers are with you .
QOTD The art work in my house is mainly family pictures . A few oil paintings that my FIL did and a few framed prints .
Menu
B 1 hard boiled egg , 1 Tbsp of light hellmans , 1 chicken nibbler

S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Totals 551 calories 88 grams of protein
Have a great day
Daisy, so sorry to hear about your Dad's health. I am so glad he is in good hands, that makes such a difference.
Very cold here, I am glad it didn't dip below freezing because I have forgotten that little thing of getting my in-ground sprinklers blown out. Sent a message to my friend who usually does them the other day. One cold day won't bust them open- but yeah, needs to be taken care of. Weather App says 36 right now feels like 26. Does that mean I have to take out my winter coat and find gloves??
Weight has been steady at 166. Keep telling myself "=/-165 is good" ...repeat. Ate almost 1/2lb of bacon myself yesterday...just sayin'
QOTD: So do I have any artwork in my home? The question to that would be yes, but only artwork by people I know.... My Dad, a friend/neighbor growing up, and ME! Most of my own artwork I kind of rotate seasonally.... I actually love my fall offerings... and then I couldn't find one of my favorites this year... Where in this house is it hiding??? I also have a wrapped canvas of a photo from my son's wedding in my living room... and a few prints with birds..so I guess I have a bird theme going.
Going to see the Varicose vein Doc today- I had my one vein lasered a couple of weeks ago, and now I am starting the shots...which will probably take months of visits... I went last Monday for the follow up to the laser, and as I was leaving the girl said "I'm going to call your insurance company now to see if we can get approval for the shots" ... well she called me in like 15 minutes before I was even home, and they were approved. That has to be some kind of medical miracle.......
I am in big fat boredom land with food....and laziness with preparing. Did make a pot of what I call 'chicken pot pie soup' I use FF evaporated milk for the creaminess and Carbolose flour (the flour in Carbquik-which is like low-carb Bisquik) to thicken. Basically creamy chicken and veggies. I can never make a small pot of soup...So I ate one portion, portioned out 3 more, and the rest went to my good friends and neighbors and her husband loves my soups. Although soup is one of the few things I don't mind occasionally freezing, not a creamy soup- and eating something 4x in a week is my limit. I usually add unflavored protein powder as I go to eat it to up the ante.
B: Coffee Latte Fairlife/Miralax, scrambled eggs and cheese
L: Chicken pot pie soup with added protein powder
D: Pork Loin (20 minutes in Insta-Pot, halved, browned then a sauce of 1/2c Italian dressing and 1/2cSF maple syrup poured over. May add apples and onions)
Snacks: Syntrax fuzzy navel in water, greek yogurt with cappuccino protein powder added, babybel cheese, PB on Spoon
EX: 21-day-fix- done and PT

It is freezing here too, and we all had to switch to our colder weather coats, but I imagine it's much colder up where you are, so I wont complain too much. I'm sporting a cold now as is DH and my little one, but on the bright side I think i've officially moved into onederland. I may post about that separately later.

boy, I can relate to ailing parents - I'm so sorry you are going through this, too. I'm really glad he's in good hands, though. That's really the best you can do at this point - make sure he's getting top-of-the-line care - and you've done that. I'm hoping for good news - please keep up posted!!
QOTD: we have a real mix of artwork (no photos on the wall, though). Large museum prints and posters, original paintings, prints I've picked up on travels abroad. I've got so many that I'd need four houses to hang it all - I suppose I should just rotate it every season like some of the other posters do!!
17 months out (almost 18!):
B: L&F coconut vanilla yogurt topped with fresh raspberries and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, iced protein mocha latte
L: 1 C cottage cheese, small pear - maybe some baby carrots
D: pork stir fry (meat & veggies only)
probably another Greek yogurt or the rest of the protein pumpkin chia pudding
Good morning menu peeps! It's too damn cold down here in the South! The last couple of nights have been down to 42F. That's full blown winter to us! I though I was ready for it to cool down but quickly remembered that I absolutely HATE the cold!! My body doesn't regulate heat very well I guess. On the nights that we sit out by the fire, my body will stay cold for hours after we go inside. My husband says it like sleeping next to a Popsicle. I really don't know why I'm like this.
Daisy, sorry to hear about you Dad. Prayers and well wishes are headed his way!
QOTD: I come from a family of really good artists. One of them being my Mother. My brother and I both have pieces that she drew or painted when we were children before she passed away. We have paintings from my Great Aunt as well.

L - teriyaki chicken meatballs

Good morning everyone.
Daisy I'm so sorry about your dad. Glad that he has a good dr, and hoping for a smooth journey for him. Xoxo
How's Amy doing? You get the results this week, right?
I had a lovely weekend. I was of on Friday. We had friends staying overnight Thursday night and Friday night, so I had a nice quiet breakfast with one of them on Friday. I gave up the fight to fit in to the blue dress my friend gave me. It was altered for her and it was too loose in some places and too tight in other places for me. So after breakfast I went shopping. Torrid is fairly new to Canada, and they just opened one in our local mall. I got a dress that was 50% off and then they had a BOGO 50% sale. So I got tights as well. I was really happy with the dress and felt pretty good about how I looked. It will make a great before picture!
So I did manage to lose a few lbs anyway but fell off the rails early last week, and haven't been trying too hard since. We still had our company Saturday morning, so I made breakfast, and my husband dropped our 2 older kids off to get some of their community service hours in. They need 40 to graduate from high school.
Then we got all dressed up for the Holiday Dinner Dance. It was a lot of fun. The food was great, and it's fun to see co-workers outside of work and all dressed up.
As far as art goes- I have one Walter Campbell print in my living room of a house with a general store in it - My grandparents had a store in their house, so that makes the pic special. Other than that, it's all family photos, and some art by my kids.
Not sure what's on the menu today.
Breakfast - fried egg with 2 strips of bacon
Deciding what to have for lunch
Chicken for supper
Sorry for the novel. Have a great day everyone.
