OMG I so need a remote starter on my car, after I read this yesterday I put hubby to work on finding a place locally that will install one after market for me! So ya you need to get yours fixed!!

Oh I love "sick" aka "mental health days," I seriously thought of taking one yesterday too when I woke up at 4:30am and was all cozy and warm under the covers, so good for you!!!!!!  You have a lot going on right now so a day off is needed in my opinion!

and you nailed it "dealing with aging parents is so hard" #truth

Good luck on sorting out what makes it on Grim's walls or not, combining houses can be hard!!!

Good morning friends! Confessing, I've been on the struggle bus for the last week with my food choices. Hoping this doesn't portend the holidays in general. I'm trying to stick to under 700 calories daily until Thursday only this week. I feel like a bottomless pit lately and have veered away from strictly proteins. I'm stopping that--NOW! Still lost 1.2 pounds last week, but have 30 pounds left to my arbitrary goal of 140, so need to really push.

QOTD: mostly family photos, but I do have one original canvas by a local artist that I love. My husband worked it off when we were newly married by painting several rooms in the artist's home. It's of a stained glass window in a church, with a dove sitting on a pew. It's beautiful and I will always treasure it because Jason worked it off when we didn't have the money to buy groceries, much less art.

B- 3 oz deli shaved ham, mustard, tea w/SF creamer

L- chunk light tuna with slice of melted cheese

D- Grilled chicken

S- 4 oz ****tail shrimp w/sauce

Cals-- 618; protein- 92; carbs- 18; fat- 20

I think we all have the bottomless pit days/weeks...and we are like 'where did that come from?'

It is the Holiday season...there are going to be bigger eating days....but I think your strategy is the same as mine... try to be as on point as you can on the other days. Pick and chose which days you are going to have the 'extras' ... My downfall has always been the week between Christmas and New Years, even when doing WW and stuff.... I would be strong from Thanks giving to Christmas, maybe even lose a few pounds and then gain 10lbs between Christmas and New Years. ugh....

i totally have this issue sometimes. The past 4 days though have been awesome. I've been adding extra protein to coffee, yogurt, everything I can and the scale gods are rewarding me with losses.  It's also helping the constant want for food.

Chassidy thanks for being honest, you see it thrown around here on OH enough: The Struggle Is REAL!!  I have "bottomless" pit days and days I could go for hours and hour without food, its so damn weird!  But I will be honest and say I think mine is totally tied to my hormones, before I menstruate I want to eat the world, then when I start I completely lose my appetite, it just odd.

Now is the time to push and get those last 30 off, as you know it continues to get harder and every day you are closer to one year it just continues to get harder. You are just shy of 7 months out and are doing awesome, but my suggestion would be to push to get to your goal.

Love the story of your hubby "working off" the piece of art, that is so sweet and awesome, and it sounds beautiful with the stained glass theme.

Good morning my darlings!  It was snowing this weekend in the Detroit Metro area, and there is still a smattering of it on the ground.  My weekend was fast and furious.  Saturday I went shopping in the morning and got ready for the birthday party yesterday.  It's funny, historically, I ALWAYS over cook for parties and then I'll have so many leftovers.  So, yesterday I decided to scale back, and wouldn't you know it, we didn't have enough and I had to send my hubby to the store in the middle of the party to pick up a bag of frozen meatballs.  It was a small blip on the radar, and overall, it was a great day.  My little had such a wonderful time, and all of our family came over so it was wonderful. I was in bed by 9 and still feel like I could sleep for a few more hours.  Today is my little Kaladin's birthday.  He is such a joy, and I love his little face so much.

I'll say a prayer for your father.  I'm sorry that you have to deal with health issues, but I'm hoping for the best outcome.

DD2QOTD:  I actually have 3 pieces of original artwork in my home that I just picked up this summer.  It's kinda funky, but the artist gets old paintings and then paints monsters and robots into the landscapes.  The link to her website is HERE, and I love the images as they are fun and funky.  One is hanging in my family room over my littlest guys play area, and then the other two are up in my upstairs bathroom.  We also have a few glicee prints of famous comic book covers that are signed by Stan Lee that I bought for my hubby for various holiday gifts.  There is one in my downstairs bathroom.  Here's a pic of the one from the family room.
