8+ Years RNY Post OP Anyone?
Hey guys,
Are there any of you who have had their RNY surgeries 8+ years ago?
If so, how successful were/are you?
If not, what happened?
Do you ever regret having your RNY surgery?
Me: Not Even! I have never regretted having my RNY surgery. It saved my eyesight, which was deteriorating because of my diabetes in the past.
My life has been so much more rewarding. I have slowly learned to like myself and the way I look, although I still have those moments where I still think I'm ugly...but that is still a work in progress. I am healthy and know that this surgery was the best thing that I could have done!!
Stay blessed and always encouraged.

Just hit my tenth year last month. I would do it all over again. Yes, medical problems...But you expect those. You have abused your body for 20 years...Things will come up. A heart attack...I had one pre op too. Bladder stones, kidney stones...I had high uric acid pre op and still have it post op. I still need to sip sip sip!! I would have been dead about 5 years ago without this surgery. I wouldn't have been able to walk both my daughters down the aisle...This was from last year.
