Prayers for Amy today! I'm sure she will be just fine.

QOTD: I work in the oil and gas industry on the electrical side. I'm in industrial electrical sales. There are a lot of relationships developed in this industry. We have vendors and reps taking us to lunch, dinner or happy hour pretty often. We all work hard at my company so at the end of the day it's not uncommon for someone to mention something about meeting up for a beer somewhere. I met my very best friend at this company. We have been friends for 16 years now and we even had a baby 2 days apart and all our kids are friends as well.

Morning! Trying again to get back into the habit of checking in here...

i do not currently work outside the home. But I was a nurse in my previous life. :) I never was one to have close friends at work. I seem to have a hard time making close friends in general. I'm not sure why. I get along great with everyone and I'm pretty outgoing. And I have friends in different groups I'm in, great people. But friendships never seem to develop past a certain point. Maybe I have bad breath? ? In any case, I haven't really had close girlfriends since I got married. I do miss it.

Today...breakfast- coffee w/creamer, protein shake

Lunch- some leftover hash I made yesterday with sausage, butternut squash, apple, onion, walnuts

Snack- I think a couple slices of deli ham and a slice of cheese grilled up in a skillet. Making grilled ham and cheese for the kids. And dinner will be really late for me tonight, so maybe a Greek yogurt.

Dinner- vegetable beef soup

Yum, when I do ham and cheese in the skillet, I like for the cheese to get a little crispy when it melts out! (And now, I will be adding that to my menu whenever I get a chance to!)

Morning every one! Hope things are going well for Amy. Can't wait to hear how awesome she is doing.

Still at 125 even though I didn't 'count' or measure.  I did keep a little mental count of things and ate basically like I have been eating for the last year. I'm really hoping my healthy choices have become habit now and this will go well. I keep hearing Grimm in my head going "count, track, and weigh!" but I have to give this a chance and see if I am one of those 'lucky' maintainers.

QOTD: I work with a close team of medical professionals.  I spend almost no social time with them outside of work though I consider them friends. My personal life is filled to overflowing with my own queer world of friends and family of choice and my co-workers while tolerant are very conservative.  Basically if I had a dinner party with my queer folk friends and invited the co-workers I think half of them would think they needed an exorcism and the other half would turn to drinking. LOL

Menu: B: Chobani Simply "Crunch" Lemon, L: Brisket with BBQ sauce, D: Ham steak and green beans, S: 100 Calorie popcorn snack bag or Greek yogurt...see how I feel come that before bed munchy time.

Hope you all are feeling good and enjoying life!

Good morning, Daisy and Menu Family! I haven't posted in a while, so I'm trying to get back to it.  Had a good weekend, but work has been a nightmare since last week!

QOTD:  I work outside of the home.  We have a casual atmosphere here, and we are all friendly, ask about each others holiday plans, how are the kids doing, etc.  That's about the extent of it.  I'm a family person.  We (DH and I) do not usually do social stuff unless there is a couple we want to hang out with, BBQ with, etc.  Right now, we have two couples whom we visit or come over to our house.  They are dear people to us.  Our kids are about the same ages as theirs, and we love to play Dominoes, so that's a plus!

Time until RNY: 12 DAYS!!!!!

B: Scrambled egg

L: Deli meat, swiss cheese

D: Meatballs, marinara, melted mozerella

S: Yogurt or tuna if needed

V: Yep

L: coffee coffee coffee....probably start the water this afternoon...been drinking a lot here lately which is good

E: Ran a mile and a half this morning.  It's getting better!!!!!  Probably walking the pigs this evening with the kiddos and maybe tracking a coyote.  I saw five on Monday morning when I left the house.  Last Friday, one of my cats went missing.  I'm devastated!  The coyotes need to be killed right away!

Heyyyy everyone,

Remember me??? I have missed you all and your inimitable wisdom on menus and in life. Sorry to have been MIA for so long, this has truly been the most agonizing and heart wrenching two months of my days. I'm not going to go into details, let's just say after Todd (the ex) left, I opened my eyes and Pandora's Box, and discovered more betrayal and humiliation than I ever thought possible, especially from someone I loved.  Then a nervous breakdown and utter madness. I resigned from my job due to my inability to cope with everything and still be a functioning employee. After a stretch of craziness (ohhhh do I have stories to laugh at later), my family and another dear friend of mine came and packed me up, threw me over his shoulder kicking and screaming and brought me home to Los Angeles. Actually, Orange County.  I'm getting settled into a new routine and life.... looking for work (kind of). I have to get serious about that, my savings account is dwindling.

ANYWAYS, I need to get back into the habit of eating correctly. Not that what I was eating was bad, but very irregularly - if at all.  I don't want to ever gain this weight back. My hair loss has slowed considerably, but it sure took its toll. No bald spots though,

I'm dog sitting 2 Yorkies right now, and made some eggs and bacon for myself and gave them a nibble. They're my homies for life, one asleep on each side of my leg.

Menu:

Eggs and bacon.

I have nothing else planned. A fisherman friend gave me a giant piece of fresh ahi and a chunk of fresh mahi mahi he caught which I need to cook. I'm not the most experienced fish chef, though. I need to do some recipe searching.

I hope everyone is doing well, and getting "Thanksgiving ready". I'm curious to see how my first post surgical big holiday dinner goes.

QOTD: I worked in office, and I made a couple of fantastic lifelong friends. I'm pretty introverted, making friends has never been easy, that "awkward fat girl syndrome" Plus, I don't drink, so I don't socialize at happy hours and such. (Yes, SOMEHOW, I remained sober, even in all the madness)

This is me a month ago. Oh yeah, I hacked another 4 inches of hair off. I may have a mohawk soon

This is me yesterday, going to meet with friends and trying on and buying some new clothes (you would think I had a job or something...HA HA HA HA)

I need plastic surgery so badly, my "front butt" is out of control.

Glad to see you back! maybe the move was the best thing for you in the long run! Definitely gets you away from a loser who apparently really took advantage of you!

You look great in all of the pictures!

Yorkies are the best... OK, well the best little dog anyway! I love mine, all 5 pounds of her! LOL

Stay in touch, start posting again!
