What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I have obviously not been here for a while and didn't know you were having heart palpitations and do not know what you and your dr. have already spoken about.
I started having them in my late 30's, my problem was caffeine. I gave it up cold turkey and they eventually stopped. Also, it is very common in peri-menopause for women to have issues with that as well. Looking back, that's was in the same time-frame for me as well. You may want to keep that in mind when speaking with your dr. And a reminder, peri-menopause can begin 10 or more years before menopause.
Hope this helps you out.
Thanks. I've been caffeine free for about 1.5 years. I had to give it up in May, 2015 when my acid starting getting out of control. Except for a few glorious cups after my revision, I'm a decaf girl. Thanks for the other info. I'm thinking the palpitations may be food related, since the correlate to eating, but I'll bring it up with my Primary care doctor and have her run all necessary tests!
Stacy: late to the game just like Capogirl. I am 58 and went through menopause starting after 50, peri-menopause for several years. I also had heart palpitations that started exactly at 50 and doctors could not identify. I wore a heart monitor, had all the tests including stress test, ultrasound, etc. etc. They eventually went away but I still get them now and again. Now I know what they are and try to just stay calm - but definitely get whatever tests you need to calm your mind. I have noticed that they are worse if I have had a lot of caffeine or chocolate... chocolate no longer a problem for me but I limit coffee to one cup a day.
Good luck on your Grim test ;)
Good afternoon everyone,
QOTD: I work full time and have acquaintances at work but not close friends there. My very best friend used to work with me but she moved away and that makes me sad. I do see her a couple times a year though but it's not the same.

Hi-
late post from me. Work was an utter waste of time because the network was down all day-- they finally let us go at 2.
Qotd: I work outside the home, but don't hang out with folks outside of work. Working in HR you find people are only trying to friend to get info about the job/people on the job. So I keep most at arms length. I've had great relationships with people I work with-- but they don't seem to sustain when I move on to a new department. ::sigh:: I've never had a 'best' friend.
