Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday! Thank you everyone for your well wishes on my 3 yr surgiversary post, you all are the best! Today is surgery day for my fur baby Amy! Lots of Prayers please!  Hubby is dropping her off today at 7:30am and I am leaving work early to go with him to pick her up. I am a ball of stress until I can see my pup again!

QOTD: Do you work outside the home? If yes are you close with the people you work with, do you hang out just at work or are these people your friends as well and you spend weekends and holidays with them?  I work at a massive hospital, and I work with a lot of people. I have work acquaintances that I do coffee or lunch with if I have time but I don't see them in my private time. I do have one girlfriend Cheryl  at work who I adore, she is my soul sister and we can read each other like a book, her & I do things in our private time outside of work when our schedules align, she's busy, I am busy but I adore her!

Time since surgery: 3 years! - I can officially say that now!

Good Morning! I went on an early retirement about 5 or 6 years ago, but I want to find something part time this Spring, I am bored and want to get out of the house. With my husband not being able to do much we have pretty much just stayed home and I need to get out with people a little!  I have always been an active socializer and just want to work part time in a grocery store or something like that.

Morning!

Qotd: well right now I'm in job hunt mode, it isn't going great. For the four years before that, I was self employed. I have kept in touch with a few former coworkers, and often did have plans with them outside office hours. I have changed jobs often, so have a lot of former colleagues haha. I have a very eclectic work history, which used to be a huge asset. Now, it's a liability. Ah well, I'll figure something out.

Menu:

B egg with a bit of meat and cheese

L: 1/2 can of tuna , light mayo and 1/2 raw wrap.

D: tbd grocery day...

have a great day everyone!

Morning!  I didn't get a chance to say congrats on the 3 year surgiversary yesterday, so here I am with a belated congrats!

I'm at the new job, and I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it.  I get here by 8, and yesterday I left at 4:30 which actually made the commute a little bit better.

DD2QOTD: As you may have heard, I just started a new job on Monday, so you would think that I wouldn't know anyone... BUT since I'm in the same business that I was in for the last 10 years, I actually know 3 people (out of over 100) that work here.  I work directly with a woman who was my co-worker for 6 years, and I consider her a friend.  I haven't seen her in a few years, but we have done things socially when we were working together, and even after she left my last job in 2012, we got together and did one of those Painting with a Twist classes.  I'm historically bad about keeping contact with friends, as most of my social life revolves around my family, so while I don't see her often, she would be considered a friend as well as a co-worker.  It's a good thing that she is not my direct supervisor (though she is my superior here).

15 months since surgery

B: Light and Fit greek yogurt, a spinach, mushroom, onion, bacon and cheese egg cup, and coffee with sugar free coffeemate

L: egg salad (by itself) and cucumbers and tomatoes with Bolthouse Farms Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing, and a light cheese stick

D: baked cod (6oz)

S: Light cheese stick and a light and fit greek yogurt

totals

calories 898 protein 110 carbs 32 fat 37

I believe that I can hang with this menu today.  My hubby is going out of town and tomorrow will be my first day of juggling the kiddo and getting to work by myself.  I am getting a little anxiety about it, plus I ALMOST forgot my laptop at home this morning and I had to run back in the house to get it.  I would have had to drive almost an hour back home to get it.  It's kinda important to remember, and I'm not allowed to leave it at the office at all, so yeah.  I gotta stay on top of that.

I left my laptop home once. Now when I take it home, I put my car keys on the laptop bag by the garage door-seems to have worked so far :)

Hi all- dish soap egg whites didn't make me sick! YAY

chugging along this week and the scale rewarded me with another small loss! tonight I have choir practice (singing the Christmas program at church this season so my Wed nights are now booked till Dec 11 performance). We had thought to camp this weekend but the wildfires are very bad here in north GA and it hurts to breathe outside. so i believe our camping for the winter is over. We will either store the camper someplace or just keep it here in the driveway for the winter.

bought a heated throw blanket at kohls last week when they were having a huge sale online and got to use it last night. funny thing is the second i turned it on, the puppies apparently thought it was for them and went and layed on it! i need to train them that this is NOT theirs!

QOTD: my situation is a bit different. When i drive in each day into the office, there would be people I would hang out with and go to lunch, breaks, etc with. And there was one friend we would do things outside work, But the department was let go and I began working from home. now i only 'see' people online and when I visit Ohio 3 times a year. I try to make time to visit with people there and do lunch/fun stuff outside of work but it is hard for people because they have families of their own do deal with. So i suppose my relationships for work are mostly online and then visits during the year.

Calories were higher last night 877, 123 prot, 57 carb

we did have gortons simple bake tilapia last night- they were great in case you are looking for something different to try, they come in foil packets you just throw in oven and bake them.

today my plan is

B: yogurt i think with chia/decaf/miralax

S: not sure

L: chicken again- have tons

S:

D: we may go out for dinner tonight before choir practice

I'm asking for a heated throw for Christmas , my heating pad just isn't cutting it . Good luck teaching puppies that the blanket is yours . Your probably going to have to share .
