Good job for finding a replacement snack to stop those nightmares!

Movie popcorn, and to a much lesser degree the movie itself, was my final guilty indulgence before starting Optifast. While I enjoyed it I didn't love it as much as I expected to. Leaving the theatre I felt a mix of emotions that is somewhat hard to explain. There was satisfaction after finally having the treat that I literally planned for for days and an awareness that I was becoming comfortable with the changes I've been making. I'm not going to pretend that it won't be a challenge to avoid going forward because we all know how alluring that smell is but I didn't eat near as much of it was I would have a few months ago and I was ok with that.
One of my families rituals as a child was Hockey Night in Canada every Saturday. For my sister and I it was our favourite day for three reasons, we got to stay up late with mom and dad, watch hockey and eat popcorn from a huge yellow tupperware bowl that my mom still owns. Popcorn will always be a favourite but I'm realizing that it's the memories that I cherish more than the food that went with them. Having said that I have no desire to test that just yet... I mean that smell, come on....
There are a lot of memories tied to food... it's kind of interesting as we unearth them and deal with them. For the most part, I'm good SO FAR... but I have no real desire to hit the movie theater just yet

Qotd: I like pretty much all movies, and watch a lot of them. Except horror or anything that's going to be too much of a downer. Reality can be ****ty enough, I want good escapism! Hahaha but this time of year, we start rewatching Xmas movies at tv specials! I love that my husband is as into them as me!
Menu:
im a little annoyed, yesterday I went way over my usual calories. 793. Everything was wls friendly, but even taking into consideration I log things a bit higher to be on the safe side, I ended up with a few extra snacks, and denser meals than typical...I think I am getting a little complacent because things have been going so well.
B: 1 egg with 1/3 ounce of steak
L: 1/2 raw wrap with tuna and light mayo
D: eating out, but I looked at the menu, and will order the quarter chicken with green salad
Totals assuming I eat 2/3 of the chicken, which I doubt:
calories 453, protein 69, carbs 13
haveva great day everyone!
