What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good Morning! I am so sorry Daisy, I can understand how stressed you and Arun must be. I will thinking of you all and of course sending sweet Amy hugs and prayers. Please keep us posted on how everything goes. I know the run will help with the stress.
I did so much lazing around this weekend trying to kick this cold and I am still feel pretty yucky but I have so much to do at work this week before I head out for vacation that I am here trucking right along. My taste buds are all crazy and everything tasted blah....done whining!
QOTD: I lost a pretty good amount around the 4-month mark. I had long hair so it seemed pretty dramatic at the time so once I got it cut shorter it didn't seem as bad.
Time since surgery: 2 years, 3 months
B: SF latte, maple and brown sugar oatfit, 2 sausage turkey links
L: Sweet and spicy tuna packet, flat out bread, string cheese, and carrots
S: SF latte, Carbmaster yogurt and ½ bag healthy pop kettle corn
D: Trader Joe's jalapeno chicken sausage, carrots and a boiled egg
E: 45 mins stepper this morning and elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:978 Protein:96 Carbs:100(darn popcorn!) Fat:27
Have a great one!
Hoping the best for your doggy dog. Vets in Ontario are way too expensive. My dog is having surgery today too (lump on her boob) and it would have been $2600 in Windsor at my local vet. We went to Michigan for a second opinion and its $525 US. Much much cheaper. Lets both go to vet school and open a reasonably priced vet.
My Windsor vet charged me $1100 to euthanize my poor old dog 2 years ago and I thought that that was inhumane. Some people can't afford that. Sigh.

That's crazy that you were charged that much to euthanize! My heart goes out to you... I don't remember what I paid for our last dog, but I'm thinking somewhere closer to like $200 (total was 500 with her being cremated... for my daughter because it was important to her)

$525 for a surgery is crazy cheap! We've never gotten out of the vet's clinic (or our local vet school) for less than $1000 for a surgery. One of our cat's liver surgeries (to remove a tumor) was $2500. Yikes. Although when you think about, how much would a human's surgery cost for exactly the same thing? Probably ten times more. Although humans usually have insurance...
Good morning all. Well I completed my first 5K this weekend in 49 minutes. I was so proud of myself and I could have done it faster but the 8 year old with me kept getting tired.
QOTD: Oh my God my hair is killing me. I have an appointment on Wednesday to get it chopped again. It's so thin and though the loss has slowed it's still losing. And there are all these baby hairs sticking out everywhere. Its a hot mess.
Time Since Surgery: 10.5 Months
B: Egg Salad with crackers
L: Leftover steak Kabob and a little cilantro lime rice, like two spoonfuls
D: Meatloaf
S: Unjury Shake

DD, Very sorry to hear about your pup. Hoping for everything to go smoothly and good results after.
I am officially back at work today post surgery. Feeling exhausted. I could have taken off some more time but was bored and ready...or so I thought. Now I am sitting at my desk wishing I could take a nap. Healing is going very well. Each day I have felt better. The first week was rough but now I am pain free other than some stiffness and tenderness. Funniest thing so far...the giant-ness of my new boobs. Doctor said before surgery they would be, "a large C cup or small D cup." Got fitted for a bra this weekend...34 DDD! LOL My Guy says, "I ain't mad." Oh boy...lots to adapt to.
I gained nearly 20 pounds overnight with the surgery! Morning I went in I was 127...the day I got home 146! I thought I would die. I knew it was fluid but it freaked me out for a minute. It is all gone now and I dropped a few more pounds, 125 this morning, so I am feeling good. I had to buy new winter/fall clothes for work since once again my body has changed. I went from a size 4 or 6 to a size 0. Yes....ZERO. Is that even possible??? WHhhhaaaa? I really am shocked at how much of my waist was actually empty skin. Also...zeros are a bear to find. They don't carry them at Walmart or Target. I found some in the junior's section at Khols. Crazy...who would EVER have imagined me shopping for a zero. Seems impossible.
Here is a pic so you guys can see I am alive and well...
Missed you all and am glad to be back to normal.
Menu:
B: Greek yogurt, L: Greek yogurt and mozzarella (was in a rush and didn't pack well), D: Beanless chili, S: Turkey slices
Be well!
~Elizabeth

Welcome back! I've missed seeing you here, but I knew you were doing well! Hey, that's a great picture of you... and the 'girls'! That first one you put on FB, was hilarious! The angle made you look like you had nothing but boobs! This one is beautiful, and very in line with the rest of you!!
Hope you get out of work before you fall asleep! Take a nap when you get home! You are gorgeous... all DDD of you and more! (I'm still a DDD right now, so I totally relate )
