What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Lots of prayers and positive thoughts for Amy, Daisy! Ugh, it's so hard when they get sick, or have things like lumps. We have two boxers. Boxers are notorious for cancer, and it's always very scary when we do find a lump. So far, none of them have been cancerous on these two boxers, so I hope it's the same outcome for Amy!! Please keep us posted!
QOTD: Hair. Funny thing was, at my 3 month check up I had no hair loss, I was so happy! Then about 2 weeks later, it started falling out by the fingers full! (not quite handfuls LOL). Now on Thursday I go in for my 6 month check up, and it's slowed down a lot in the last 2-3 weeks. I don't really notice a huge difference though. My hair changed so much after I had my son. I also had stick straight hair, I could wa**** blow dry my bangs (because I have bangs that require drying or else they do the splits across my forehead LOL), and have straight hair. NOW, I toss in some curling creme, and viola, I have pretty curly hair! I love it, and don't think I'll ever get tired of having curly-ish hair! I've even been reconsidering cutting it short because really, there's no reason to. BUT, I am going to get a couple of inches trimmed off, and my layers re-cut. It'll be good for my hair not to just let it grow too long.
I am in the final push to be under 170 when I get to the doctor's office on Thursday. Yesterday I was at 170.6, but this morning it was 171.6. Trying to figure out the least amount of clothing I can wear Thursday so I'll weigh less! Appointment is at 8am, so I can go that long without liquids. But, why am I so set on being under 170? I'm not sure... but I am!

I'm doing AMAWC for the week to see if I can knock off these 2 pounds before that doctor visit along with Daizymom! Also have a big family gathering this weekend in Dallas for our Aunts 70th birthday! Gonna be fun, with Elvis and black jack tables, and a photobooth! Excited!

I hope so! But more importantly, I need to not beat myself up over it if I don't... I mean, in the grand scheme of things, it's not any kind of failure if I don't, right?! But I really hope I do!

Pammieanne, I'm right there with you. My 6 mo. is on 11/30 and I'm really hoping to be below 170 by then. This morning I was 173.2. I think (hope) I will be at home & naked, but not so sure about when I get to the office. I too have been thinking about the lightest weight clothing and also have a morning appointment so am planning to wait until after the appointment to eat/drink. Such head games! I know it's just a number, but I've always been very goal oriented. I was hoping to be below 200 at my 3 mo. and think it was 202 or 203. I was so disappointed in myself. But onderland happened within a week. Best wishes!
Daisy, So sorry about your fur baby. Since my real baby is 36 LOL, our fur babies (2 wonderful cats) mean so much to us. They are getting older and we hate to think about being without them.
QOTD: I've always had thick hair and didn't seem to lose much. At least not so far. I got it cut fairly short a month or so ago for a change. Seems like I always do that when I lose weight.
B: Decaf coffee w/scoop of vanilla GNC protein powder
L: 1/2 container left-over Wendy's Chili
S: Protein shake
D: 2-4 oz. grilled chicken (depending on pouch)
E: 8 miles on the stationary bike done, hope to do a 2-3 mile walk w/DH after work.
Surgery Date June 3, 2016
HW: 329 W at first consult 290. SW 238, LW 128, CW 139
We need to promise each other that if we don't quite make it on our doc appointments, that we don't get too bummed... it IS a number that we will reach sooner than later, and honestly our doctor's probably don't even care if it says 171 instead of 169! (at least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself!).
In the meantime, I have a VERY LIGHT pair of leggings and a pretty light shirt I can wear with them... I'll take off the boots before getting on the scale, and I won't put any big chunky jewelry on just in case!
