So sorry to hear about Amy,Daisy. I'll start praying now for all three of you and for a positive outcome and speedy recovery for Miss Amy too. I have to exercise to get rid of stress too since I used to eat it away. Lily and I have our three plus miles in already and may walk around the block after dinner too. Post op 4 years 21/2 months and weight at 117 this morning. QOTD I did lose quite a bit of hair starting about 3 months out. I've had surgery 3 times since my RNY and lost hair some each time then too. When it grew back in it wasn't as thick as before and now has some wave to it now where it was stick straight before. I could notice the hair loss but don't think it was noticeable to others. Here's today's food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz rotisserie chicken 1/2 c beets D 31/2 oz ground turkey with salsa 1/2 c beets S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar .  Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices !

Good morning Daisy and menu friends , So sorry to hear about your fur baby Daisy . Our fur babies have always been considered an important part of the family and  it's extremely stressful when one of them gets sick . Prayers being said that everything will be ok . Virtual hugs being sent to you .

SO sorry Amy is going through this...our animals steal our hearts. Hope it is nothing more than a lump.

One of my brother's best friends now and since childhood is a vet, unfortunately his practice is about an hour away so I never used him. His father passed when he was in college and left him more money than he needed  because he was in NYC real estate. He became a Vet anyway- because I remember my brother saying- what are you going to do with your life? But because of this-  He deeply discounts things like this. I have met random people who don't know that I know Dr. S* and they've been so excited to find him...because for some people it is a matter of feeling like they have to put their animal down. The money just is not there. Love random acts of kindness... and hoping all goes well with Amy.

QOTD: I did not lose Hair, my hair actually became better. I am an anomaly. I don't know if it was I was so protein deficient before or what...but it actually improved right away. I always had thick hair in my younger days  -and got the same thing "Thick as a horse's mane" My hair went through a bad period peri-menopausal where it got oily and stringy and I couldn't get it to grow. My hairdresser said I still had a lot of hair the strands just had become very thin. The only time it would look semi-good was in the summer because the humidity/frizz would make it look thicker and bring out some curl. I also have much more of a curl and wave than before surgery, I always had some,wave/curl but now I have more...but my hair is back to it's old self just not as thick.

Good News: My grandniece is home from the Hospital...so happy. Long road ahead-therapy at home-  but my brother says everyone is in 'good spirits'....

Feeling bored with my food... sometime's I just want to copy and paste and eat someone else's menu on here...LOL

B: Coffee Latte w/Fairlife milk/Miralax 2 eggs,cheese

L: Steak/provolone melt on 1/2 low carb Pita

D: Parmesan crusted Flounder, spinach

Vitamins: Done, Ex: 30 minutes of movement... Ortho tomorrow

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.  We've always had a lot of pets and have been through health issues a lot (including cancer and many surgeries), and I know how stressful that is!!!  Fingers crossed it turns out to be benign.  I know this has got to be so hard for you guys!!!!

QOTD:  I don't think I lost any hair.  Or if so, it wasn't much.  There was a time around the five-month mark that I thought there might be more hairs in my comb than usual (for a few weeks), but it could have been my imagination (because I was so worried about hair loss!)

17 months out

B:  plain Greek yogurt, blackberry sauce (fresh blackberries cooked down with a little SF Torani syrup - this is actually great!!)

S:  iced protein pumpkin latte, coffee with half & half

L:  1 C chili with 1 T flax seed and 1 T Parmesan

D:  hangar steak and vegetables (will be at a catered meeting)

I made some pumpkin protein chia pudding last night - may try a little of that tonight since the dessert at the dinner meeting will almost certainly be something I can't have!

Sorry to hear about your fur-baby Daisy. Hopefully it's nothing and she will bounce back in no time!

QOTD: I'm in my 4th month and it seems like maybe I'm loosing a few more stands than usual. It might be my imagination. I had hair loss 10 years ago when I lost a bunch of weight. I cut it shorter just above my shoulders but it grew back like normal. My hair is fine and thin so any hair loss makes me nervous!
