Good morning everyone! How are you all? I am okay. This weekend we had to take my chocolate Lab Amy to the Veterinarian, we had found a lump on her back, near her tail area. And long story short, the Vet said it looks suspicious, they have to operate and remove the lump and then send it off to histology to see if it's Cancerous or not. We are devastated!! Surgery is this Wednesday (at a cost of $1000!!! Gee why didn't I go to Vet school??) I am not happy, she needs to be put out and its going to be a large excision as they want to get all of the lump "just in case." You all know my fur babies are my & hubby's life so asking for prayers for an uneventful surgery and that the results will be negative. I am so stressed I can't eat or sleep. Ugh!!
QOTD: Did you lose a lot of hair? So pre surgery I had a ton of thick long poker straight hair. Growing up my Mom would say my hair was as thick as a horses mane. And it was always always straight as a pin, would never ever hold a curl. I always wore my hair long, to my waist. So at my WLS Orientation at my Centre we were told about the hair loss, and I didn't like it but figured it was a small thing to deal with to become healthy. Well at around 4 months post op my hair started to fall out in handfuls. I remember being in the shower and literal handfuls of hair coming out. Yes I cried. And it continued to fall out until about 8 or 9 months post op and then it slowed down a lot. I chopped my hair to my shoulders. Now that I am 3 yrs post op my hair is long again, just past my shoulders but way more thin and it has a natural wave to it now, now I actually have to use a straighter to get that "straight" look I had naturally pre surgery, lol. Here is my hair now, this is a selfie from last weekend (I am over due for a dye job, too much grey ha ha)!

I'm so sorry to hear about Amy. I'll be sending good thoughts that everything works out well for her. Keep us posted, please.
I never lost any hair, so I can't relate. I know what a big deal it is for most people, but it has to be better than living with morbid obesity.
I never would have guessed that you had lost any hair, DD2. You have a beautiful head of hair.

Qotd. I lost at least half of the volume of my hair. Texture is also fine now. I miss thick hair but not the thick thighs that came with it
