What's on your menu today (Saturday) RNYers?
Happy Saturday everyone! It's another busy one in our house. Our oldest is in his last year of high school, so we have a college open house to go to. He's pretty much made up his mind on another one so we're just going through the motions today.
I really dont know what I'm eating today. I think I will have an egg for breakfast and try ricotta bake for supper. Lunch is going to be while we are out so will definitely try to make a health choice.
QOTD- For the last few years I've gone on a Caribbean cruise with my girlfriends each winter. This year we aren't going and there's no winter getaway planned. My dream vacation is a trans-Atlantic cruise followed by a Mediterranean cruise. If money weren't an object, what would your dream vacation look like?
Have a great day everyone!

Losing the regain! I got this!
I'd love to visit All those places! But you know what they say- If travelling were free, you'd never see me again. Not entirely true because I love my home and family but it would be true for at least 6 months of the year and definitely for Jan - March.
How are you finding opti?

Opti is opti, honestly with being able to make it taste like an ice cap it isn't all that bad, it just gets boring. I think I've made it through the worst in regards to the physically uncomfortable part, now it's more mental. On a good note, I'm down 10 lbs as of this morning and my blood sugars have been consistently between 5.1 and 5.6.
My daughter travels to England every year to spend the summer with her father, as she plans to go to college/University there (not for another 3.5 years, as she just started grade 9) I've decided and have started saving for one if not two of those dream vacations. It's something she and I have talked about for a few years, we can tour Ireland or Scotland together and then I can see her off to collage/university in England. Prior to considering WLS, this was just a dream, but now can become a reality!

Good morning, thanks for starting! Grim and I had a fun day in DC yesterday. We got a private tour of the Pentagon (wow!) and then walked around Georgetown U. Today we are starting the morning at the National Zoo, then probably doing some Smithsonian museums or monuments on the mall. I love this city!
Again, we are in the hands of our hosts, so not sure what we're eating but here is what I had yesterday:
B: (disastrous start!) cinnamon bun and cheezits in the car.
L: Salad with rare sesame seared tuna
D: cheeseburger
QOTD: I can't think of a vacation that wouldn't make me happy, but I've always wanted to do a really intense Italian vacation. Rome, Florence, Venice and Cinque Terra. Ahhh.
Have a great day, everyone!

I went to DC as a grade 8 class trip and loved it. I've always wanted to go back. Maybe we will take the kids next summer although I feel like we should get them to Ottawa first. Lol.
In grade 8 (30 years ago) we got a public tour of the pentagon and it was pretty impressive. I wonder how different a public tour now and a pre 9/11 tour would be? Sounds like a great weekend JB!
