What's on your Menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Good morning everyone! Not off to a great start today. The very nice man that cooks breakfast at our cafeteria every day is leaving today, so I went for breakfast. 1 fried egg, 2 hashbrowns and 4 strips of bacon. I should probably make up my mind to not get to know the new person.
My cousin and his wife are both in the army. My cousin has had tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan. When he was in Afghanistan, the stretch of highway that I take to work each day was renamed the Highway of Heroes because when a soldier was killed, a convoy would take their body from the base in Trenton to downtown Toronto. People would go out to all the overpasses, and wave flags, first responders would set up there. It was so incredibly moving to see, and then the convoy would pass by, traffic at an almost stand still and nobody minds. I've never been more proud of my country. But I was always so grateful that it wasn't my cousin that was being escorted home.
On another note, my 12 year old will be joining the Royal Canadian Air Cadets this month. I think it will be really good for him. He has a lot of energy and he needs an outlet for it.
Lunch and Dinner are still up in the air. My husband and I are working on a major purge so everything is a mess. But I'm sure the Instant Pot will come to the rescue.
Starting AMAWC on Monday - I'm actually going to try straight AMAW, but we will see how it goes.

Every now & then they do challenges that's open to everyone for a week. 1 is All Meat all week critter whi*****ludes seafood & dairy. The other is all meat all week. A challenge for everyone except Grimm.
