Good Morning! Sorry you're not feeling great today and that the treats weren't worth the headache this morning. I know you will do great with the CAMAW plan and get back to where you feel comfortable soon.

Daisy, that is such a sad yet loving story of your grandfather  A lot of the stories and made me tear up!

QOTD: My picture is of my step daughter and her family. I was married to her dad for 12 years, and came into her life when she was a nasty little 13yo (hahaha). She hated me. One day, as she was softening up to me and actually talking to me (!), she stood in our kitchen, put her hand on her hip, and said "you know, GOOD step-moms make rice crispy treats!" then turned around and walked away. I became the QUEEN of rice krispy treats, and I saved the day more than once with a quickly made batch to heal her teenage heart crushes. Today, she is married with 3 kids, to a mostly great guy. She put him through school at Georgia Tech, where he graduated with an aerospace engineering degree. Against all odds (and family bets LOL), he was accepted into the pilot program and entered the Air Force about 5 years ago as an officer. Great thing was, as we had already moved to Oklahoma (and gotten divorced), he was stationed in OK for his training and spent a couple of years here. Bree and I are probably closer after the divorce than we were before. Fast forward, and they are stationed in Japan now. I have 3 beautiful grandkids because of her (this is a huge joke in our family, as I protest grandmotherhood because of my age (ha) - and she taught the kids to call me Granny-Pam to dig it in a little deeper. I love them with all of my heart - even if I'm not old enough to be their grandmother *cough cough* (it's that denial thing I talked about yesterday). I pray that even though he flies the huge cargo planes, that he's kept safe should we end up in another war.

**edited to add that my son was born on Bree's 17th birthday. She married Randy, who was shares a birthday with my almost 17yo dauther. The 4 of them share only 2 birthdays.

This morning I weighed in at 172.8! (I so wish I could hit the 160's before my 6 month appt, but it's next Thursday, so I'm thinking not)

B: 2c of decaf with salted caramel SF syrup and 1T of half and half. 2.5oz of ribeye

L: 2 oz of turkey taco meat with 2T cheese 2T salsa 1T sour cream

D: Pork tenderloin with a few bites of asparagus and tomato mozzarella salad (dinner party at a friend's house)

Good morning Daisy and all RNY'ers! It's Friday! Yes! I'm looking forward to resting and relaxing with my DH and Little One.

Daisy, i'm pretty sure you'll lose that extra few pounds. I think you are so utterly focused most of the time that it won't be a problem! Amazing how one night of pizza and cookies could effect our weight so much! i'll have to make note of that for later.

Also, Daisy, about your grandfather, what a great story, and so sad he never met his children! Its great that he's so fondly remembered!

I don't have a photo so share as I don't have any family members who served, but I will gladly go back and read about everyone's and comment!

You'll love it! And since you are pre-op, you should top it with a some pepperoni and broil it just a bit to toast the pepperonis! I love that stuff!
