What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Happy Friday eve. Cannot wait for the weekend. This has been an incredibly long week.
DQOTD: the only thing I can think of relates to athletics. I always went to the gym, even heavy but now I'm doing things definitely out of my comfort zone. I still feel like everyone is watching and judging, waiting for the fat girl to fail or stop because she's out of breath, but it's something I'm working on. Clothes are still an issue for me and don't go much out of my comfort zone. It probably doesn't help that I can't wrap my mind around proper sizing. I always buy too big.
I'm 2 lbs from my highest goal weight, so trying to stay on target and minimize off plan eating. Here's my plan:
B: Sliced turkey (2.67oz) and provolone cheese (measured an ounce but didn't fini****)
L: didn't bring anything so probably a chicken breast from pollo loco
D: either NY strip or tri tip (between 3-4 oz depending on how hungry I am) chopped italian salad
S: Skinny latte, roast beef (2.87 oz before spin class) 1 oz almonds (after spin on my way home)
Totals: Cal. 1036 (wth???); protein: 120g; Fat: 39g; Carbs: 44g
OMG the cals are WAAYYYYY higher than normal and it doesn't seem like a huge amount of food. We'll see how this goes.
Early Dr appt this morning, so late start here!!
QOTD: Starting to wear more form fitting tops instead of mini tents. I have many clothes to gradually move into as I lose.
9 week out from surgery
B: Coffee w/ sf coffee mate, yogurt w/ 1/2 scoop unjury.
L: Deli thin sliced honey ham
D: Leftover roast pork
S: 1/2 scoop chicken unjury.
Cal: 677 Prot: 81 Carb:21

AWESOME JOB Chris!! Those numbers rock! You so got this! How did you feel with more protein? More full? Thanks for taking my advice and running with it, you are the best! That's a fantastic menu there my friend, keep up the awesome work!
Thanks Daisy! Yes most definitely more full and I haven't been this full since before surgery. I don't think I like anymore but on the other hand I know that I need to continue to eat more protein. I think I will eat more often instead of bigger meals.
With that said thank for the encouragement to up my protein. I feel really good that I accomplished it.

I am kind of new to this website. I had an RNY done on 9/26/16. I am six weeks out and according to my dietician book.. I should be
starting Stage 4. do you do this on your own or do you talk to your dietician again and how do you know how much of one food you
should eat. I am used to using containers that hold 2 oz and 1 oz servings of food..do I increase the amounts and how much? I saw
a list of foods they recommend but where is everyone getting recipes for what to eat and are we allowed snacks besides trying to
drink the milk and eating the vitamins and calcium.. I hardly get all 64 oz of water in because I sometimes wait one hour after
I eat to start drinking... I need to stay on track because I am definitely a grazer and do not want to develop that habit with this
new tool. Any advice, comments or help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
