Good for you duff!,

I am a very friendly and outgoing but as I have gained over the years my confidence has certainly suffered. As I have lost over 60 lbs since the beginning of the process and surgery I have started to gain a little of it back.

Morning everyone! Daisy, you sent that cold morning down here! It was 37F outside according to my car this morning! Ugh. And I'm in a rental with no heated seats! Those First World problems are the worst!LOL

QOTD: I've always been pretty outgoing and confident (and in denial), even at my highest weight. I tried to dress nice, but definitely not as confident as I am starting to be. I swear, I am so addicted to Goodwill right now, it's scary! Today I am wearing a sweater vest with a black shirt TUCKED into my jeans, belt, and heels! I could never wear sweater vests or scarves before because my 'girls' are/were HUGE, and I would see other MO women wearing these things and they looked like grandmas to me... and I couldn't do it. NOW though, either I'm in denial, or I'm looking better. LOL I always wore heels, but some of them were getting harder to wear at the end... now it's much more comfortable and easier!

I am less worried about trying out new physical activities, specifically zip lining. That WILL happen in the Spring! Booths don't scare me anymore in a restaurant, and I seem to have less food on my boobs after I eat - actually can't recall a food/boob collision in a while! Score!

B: 2.5oz of ribeye, 2 cups of decaf with SF salted caramel

L: 2oz of taco meat, 2T salsa, 1T cheese, 1T tomatoes, and a little lettuce

D: Taking our aunt out to eat (the story of my life). Protein, grilled, small veggie if I have room

S: I have a protein shake here, so if I need it I have it

It's not that I don't enter my calories in, it's that I do it at the end of the day (or sometimes as I go), but I rarely have it don't before I post.

Weight this morning 173.2 (Thank you, scale, I like this!)

Water is always easy for me, I'm fortunate there

Exercise... I am going to look at a gym for the family to join today at lunch, I think it's about to happen folks! Not sure of what I'll do exactly yet, depending on classes, etc... BUT they have a heated indoor pool... I love to swim, so that'll be on the menu for sure!

Hi all, Whoa unexpectedly busy day, today! Feeling pretty blessed that we have a 3 day weekend coming up. Grim and I are leaving at 2am tonight to drive down to DC to see his Bro and SIL. We are planning to be sort of touristy, this time so I am excited to see the sights :)

QOTD: Ok this is going to sound strange to a lot of you, but I am a lot more comfortable being a plain-Jane now than I was at my higher weight. Unlike some others I was always dressed to the nines and in full make up when I was MO, because I was trying to mask my lack of confidence. Now that I am more comfortable in my body, I am more likely to throw on work out clothes and put my hair in a ponytail to leave the house instead of dressing like I was going to the prom to run to the store. I also just feel more comfortable being active. My comfort zone for activity was "hidden". I would never venture out in public to exercise in case people were laughing at me. When I started to run after surgery I picked a street with NO houses on it for a 1/4 mile and ran there. Even today, I get pangs of panic that people might be laughing at me or "know" that I am not really one of them.

On that note, it's definitely a big pouch day. BOOOOO :( I could eat a small child, and there are 780 of them here in this school, so watch out, people! I am worried that I didn't bring enough.

B: Fit Frappe Espresso Coffee

S: Fage 0% Raspberry

L: Go Picnic Black Bean & Plantain (3rd day in a row that I brought it, but I guarantee that today I am eating it!)

S: pepperoni & cheese slices

D: Date night for Ostrich, Grim?

JB, I feel the exact same way.  I recently had to switch gyms and I constantly feel like people are looking at me and thinking "is she lost?"  Same thing when I'm out running.  I'm convinced people look at me and think I'm an imposter.  "What is she doing at this race??"  or "How nice of her friends to bring the chunky girl along"  Throughout this whole process, I've found the mental aspect MUCH more difficult than the "diet" aspect.  I can eat on plan, no problem.  But see myself as a slim, fit person?  No way.  I don't know that I'll ever be able to do that.

Your mind and your view of yourself will switch eventually. It took about 3 years at 118 to see myself as thin. Even though I knew my clothes fit and they were tiny,I still couldn't see myself as tiny. Hubby helped me by talking group pics at family things because it helped me see that I was far smaller than those around me. We're all works in progress though!

Thanks, Karen.  Can't wait for that to happen.  I wear a size 2, yet when I hold up my pants, they look big to me.  My head definitely has a lot of catching up to do!

Good morning Daisy and menu gang!

QOTD:  amazing coincidence.  I am wearing leggings, a black shell and a leopard print long jacket that is quite revealing, shape-wise today.  I finally had to visit a consignment store the other day because I literally could not keep my pants on.  Never have I worn anything shape-hugging before.  I also got my hair cut yesterday into a very short, edgy bob (just like Jennifer Lawrence ;)) and I surprised myself in the mirror today.  So... YES my comfort zone is expanding!

B:  Premier Protein vanilla with coffee and sf Torani Pumpkin Pie

L:  poached egg, yellow bell pepper strips with salsa ranch yogurt dressing

D:  1/2 can tuna with balsamic (Daisy, trying this and praying), yellow bell pepper strips

S:  babybel cheese, Syntrax crystal sky in water, sf cherry jello, calcium x2

Good morning. I'm day 2 of puréed. I was so happy to eat some real food. But man did I have gas last night. GasX barely helped.

To soon on QOTD

B 1 egg sprinkled with tsp lite cheese; 2 tablespoons each of Carrot purée baby food and unsweetened apple sauce. I couldn't find my salt it's been so long since I had anything to salt. Rats!

L .25 cup puréed turkey chili; 2 tablespoons of trader Joe's mashed potatoes. Man those are perfect. They come in these little frozen pucks. I ate 2. It's been buttered and milk added, but the fat grams are very low

D eggface ricotta bake and apple sauce

S post op shake or shakes to keep protein over 75 total grams
