What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
on 11/10/16 1:32 pm - GTA, Ontario, Canada
I sure hope you like the tuna & balsamic! As you know it eat it daily and on the weekends too, I so love it.
Clothes shopping, being in pictures it's so grey now right!! Your dinner sounds yummy, I love steak & mushroom anything!!!
here's the recipe for the mushroom sauce - it's great! Port or marsala wine also work if you don't have brandy - any/all are great in this. I usually go for leaner cuts of steak like round or sirloin.

Hey peeps
QOTD: a few things are, stand up paddle boarding and yoga, running, and last night I went back to singing which I have not done in 5 years or more (in a public group****pt telling myself I didn't have time but it was just an excuse. I was asked to come sing the Christmas program at my church next month.
I still have issues wearing things above my knees because I feel they are still soo soo fat, but I'm slowly getting better. Any I have NOT worn a swimsuit yet which kind of frightens me because of hangy skin. i think i will get some boy shorts bottoms or a skirt for that part. might even wear a bikini top on the top part!
our kroger store is moving to a new building and they are clearing out a ton of stuff, so i went last night before choir and use a ton of coupons. it was fun but now i have enough shampoo and makeup to last 2 years lol
yesterday my stats were: 871 cal, 97 prot, 68 carbs (had to eat a protein bar for dinner since I was out and pressed for time) Also apparently needed to eat that adkins peanut butter cup also for 80 cal. :( Two servings of fish soup also yesterday and the fish is almost gone!

I'm back Again! We left Sunday after church and since then visited 5 national park sites and Laura Ingalls Wilders home and ran all over Missouri and wandered to Fort Scott, Kansas too. Saw Truman's home in Independence,George Washington Carvers home,a Civil War battlefield at Wilson's Creek and saw the Current River and Jacks Fork River in the Ozark National Scenic Waterways. Spent the night at Alley Springs campground and walked to see the spring too. Posted a pic on my time line on Facebook. Cleares****er I have ever seen with all sorts of aquatic plants visible through it. When we pulled into the campground where there was one other retired couple and their 3 dogs,we saw 10 deer grazing. Federal Government may mess things up but they have done a good job of preserving this beautiful area. QOTD losing weight has definitely changed the clothes in my closet. I used to have very few and they were all elastic waisted with dark colors and definitely not stripes. I never wore jewelry or any accessories either. Now I have a closet full of clothes in every color and even have some boutique things that are made of repurposed items. I would never have made a statement like that before. Oh and 3 jewelry boxes of costume jewelry Too! Post op 4 years 21/2 months and weight at 116.8 today. Lily and I have our three plus miles in already today and here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz tuna with a bit of mayo and carrots D 31/2 oz strip steak 1/2 c green beans S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar . "Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
Good morning Daisy and menu friends , Brrr it really is so cold but hey I'm not complaining . I'd rather this than sweating in January .
QOTD : I've been stepping out of my comfort zone so much lately . I feel so much more confident in all areas of my life . I've started to wear makeup again , do my hair . I'm still finding myself in the plus section of the clothing store then I slowly work my way to the regular section . I feel somewhat out of place there , like people are saying what's the fat girl doing here . I'm a work in progress . I'm also smiling alot more at people when I'm out , not walking with my head down . Life is good .
Menu
B 1 hard boiled egg , 1 chicken nibbler
L Protein Drink , pb2
D 2 oz of pork tenderloin
S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Totals
496 calories 82 grams of protein
Have a good day everyone
Good morning Daisy and menu Friends! Can you believe it is Thursday! I am so excited, I was asked to play in an over 40 Hockey league on Friday nights! A league where they have officials, keep score, etc. I am so pumped. I skate on Sunday nights with a great group of guys and High School kids, but we do not keep score. I am beyond stoked. I am a competitive person so this will be good for me. I am not over the top though and realize there are no scouts there watching me! LOL
QOTD - I am out of my comfort zone in many ways. Clothes is a biggie, pre WLS the first thing I would do is look at a tag for the size of clothes. I liked my clothes baggy and now I am wearing skinny jeans and fitted shirts. I also notice that I get more smiles, hellos, and conversation from people. I get this new attention NOT because I am no longer O, I get the attention because I have changed as a person. I am confident, I hold my head high , I smile at people, I say hello and I make eye contact. I spent so much time looking down or looking away.
B - Protein Bar
S - Caramel apple pie yogurt
L - Taco Salad minus chips
S - cheese and salami
D - Chili
Exercise - Gym time.
Stay healthy my friends, Mike
I'm so glad you said that about the attention being the result of the way that you have changed.
I'm a fairly outgoing and confident person, so I've never really felt that my weight causes me to be treated differently. I'm very interested to see if in fact there is a difference after I lose weight.
