Cooked is how you consume it....so that is how I count the amount. Weighed post cooking.

Weighing raw is probably most accurate as Grim noted, but really not practical for me.  I usually cook a much larger portion for DH and I to share (and usually have leftovers) so I measure off my portion as serving.  For example, I made a pot roast in the crock pot.  I wouldn't cut off 2-3 oz. sections before cooking.  That one roast made dinner + 4-5 left over meals for me.

I'm 9 weeks post Rny and meat does not agree with me.  I have basically turned vegetarian.  I can handle certain types of fish.  But anything like beef, chicken, turkey etc. is a no no for me now.  I was constantly making myself trying to eat that.  I feel so much better.  I weight everything before.

Hi there, surgery buddy!  How are things going other than hating meat?  I am the same but still trying.  I so much prefer yogurt ;)...

Doing great down 45 lbs.  Should be anytime in the 100s how cool is that!!! I'm no longer trying to eat meat, it just didn't agree with me.  It always made me sick.  So now I'm getting my protein with fish, beans etc.  so basically doing a vegetarian diet.  I feel so much better.

Ha!  I am down 47 pounds... we are on the same track!  I have been so trying, might go back to basics for a while.  Glad you are hanging in there.  I still have 19 pounds before I  hit the magical one-derland.  So excited.
