What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
I hear you. When my doctor suggested that I needed to give up SOMETHING, either cigarettes, coffee or food, I gladly gave up cigarettes and then coffee. Food... never. Until now.
That is so not crazy Susan! You don't know how many times things magically end up in my cart... I eat a few when I get home...realize I can't handle it and either have to run water over them, or throw them in the trash and spray something toxic over them...so I don't go back and take them out of the trash..... Now that I write that...it may be crazy, but it is our kinda crazy- You are not alone....

LOLing over your post NYMom. I also run water over things so I don't pull them out of the trash. When I quit smoking I wasted many, many packs of cigarettes that had 2 or 3 missing and then got soaked in water. It was when I started drying out the wet cigarettes that I realized I had a true addiction...
I totally understand buying the Oreos- eating a few and tossing the package. In the past I would have said- well I'll just eat this package and never buy them again. Yeah right... at least I'm not kidding myself when I buy a pack now-- I'll a eat a few ans toss the rest.

Good morning Daisy & friends! I had a great weekend, got to spend a lot of time with my family, which is wonderful.
QOTD: At home I'm actually better than out, but I suspect ice cream would be a trigger for me at home. So far I've only bought 1/2 gallon at a time, which with 5 kids is gone within a day, so not a lot of worries, but I cannot buy it to "keep it on hand" like I did in the past. I know myself. There's an ice cream shop on my route home that truly beckons at times, particularly on very stressful days, so I know it's the DEVIL for me.
B- 1 egg, pico, spinach & cheddar; irish tea w/ SF creamer
L- 4 oz shredded chicken w/BBQ sauce
D- 3 oz ground beef with 1 oz velveeta cheese (Cheesy sloppy joe)
S- cheddar cheesestick
S- chobani flip

Good Morning Daisy and my Menu Friends!
QOTD: There isn't really any food I can't let into my home because my average weight daughter eats whatever she wants in front of me, although certain things I ask her to keep in her room, like Halloween candy. I did have to kick protein bars to the curb because I was eating two of them a day and they were too high in calories. I still have them in my cupboard, though. I did allow myself to eat 1/2 a protein bar once, in place of Halloween candy, though. It didn't taste as fantastic as I'd remembered it tasting. They had birthday cake at a church ladies' luncheon that I went to last week. I passed on it, but my friend gave me one bite of hers. It didn't taste that great so I wasn't sad to miss out on it.
My menu for today:
B: Crepe w/ cream cheese & cool whip
L: Chili
D: Lettuce, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Watermelon
Exercise: Walking the dogs around the subdivision
Have a wonderful day everyone!
~ Karen
QOTD: fried stuff and salty, crunchy things like chips are my downfall. None of that is allowed in my house!
