Good Morning Weekend gang!!

QOTD: This is funny and timely for me!!  During my Fall cleaning this year, I removed everything and didn't put it back. Since before my boys were born(23yrs ago) the fridge has always been adorned with pictures, magnets, grocery list pads, good job school papers, etc. Now it's stark naked. I'm not sure yet what I'll do, but the boys keep asking when I'll put the stuff back!!  LOL

Post op 8 weeks

B: Coffeew/ sf coffee-mate. tuna pouch w/ low fat mayo

L: left over sirloin strip steak

D: cheese burger, no bun

S: Unjury chicken broth 1/2 scoop X2

Cal:667    Prot:90    Carb: 10

64 oz peach tea by my side, need extra fluids today!!

Yesterday my meal plan went to crap. I spent most of the day consoling my parents at the sudden death of my Father's dearest friend. They had been best friends for 70 years!! By the end of the day, Dad was reminiscing about hot rod racing in the early '50s.  So difficult to see "my Daddy" be so vulnerable .   :(     I didn't eat a thing until dinner, when I had my portion of steak, Liquids were lacking too.

Good Morning All,

This weekend I'm relaxing from my first week back and getting caught up with paperwork from the past weeks.

QOTD:  we used to have stuff all over our refrigerator and I hated it so when we needed a new one I took advantage of it and cleaned it off. Nothing is on it now.

A question I have is when you have calories in the high 400's or low 500's and you've meet the 60g of protein, is it smarter to leave that be or add more protein with a shake that would up the calories but also the protein? Not sure which I should aim for. (Today's menu isn't an example of this)

B: tuna pouch with balsamic ( daisy turned me on to this)

L: 1/2 c Wendy's chili

D: 2.5 oz hamburger and mushrooms (if there's room)

S: 2 babybel light, syntax scoop

calories 540, protein 76, carbs 12, fat 20

If you have more room you could add more dense protein, I am about 11 weeks out and I am just getting up to around 650 calories a day on the average.  But I do everything I can to get my protein close to 70 grams a day or higher.

If you have enough protein, I would keep the calories as low as you can. It's a lot easier to do now than it will be 6 months from now.

First few years post up I needed 80- 100 gr of protein per day to maintain low normal protein level.

That allowed me to retain a lot of my muscles without heavy exercises.

Now - I try to get proteins and fat...and some carbs. If I still have space.

Good afternoon. I am late coming here. But I figure better late than never. I walked my four miles this morning. I was only going to do three then I realized I wouldn't spend so much time on the computer so I could do the extra walking.

My fridge has a picture of me at my heaviest on it. I don't always look at it. I do know it is there.

B:Yogurt

S:Coffee two 24oz

L:Chicken with asparagus and cheese

D:Not sure this is going to be a tough one today. We are going to a bonfire and the woman bakes a ton of stuff. I will allow myself to have something but not out of control. I will pick it out and make sure it is something I really want. The not drinking booze really isn't a problem dealing with drunk people can really bug me. I will give myself a time out.

S:Not sure.

Have a good day.

Hi buddies! I know it's late to check in but better late than never right? Today was pretty busy with a hair cut appt and running errands and prepping for tomorrow.

QOTD: we have lots of odds and ends on our fridge. Some pics, some business cards, appt reminder cards and a few things Em has made. We tiddy it up every so often.

Menu for today was: B: latte, boiled egg and deli turkey, L: Albondigas (meatball soup) and a few bites of shredded carnitas (Small victory-Mexican restraurant and I avoided the chips and salsa... even though one side of my brain was trying to convince me I needed the carbs for my run tomorrow LOL!) S: latte, carbmaster apple cinnamon yogurt and pork rinds, D: 1/2 flat out pizza and cranberry trail mix. Got in my 6 miles this morning and had all my water and vits.

Hope everyone had a great day!!
