What's on your Menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
My life is very routine with very few exceptions. The older I get the more it throws me off if I get out of the routine. Right now it seems my biggest post WLS routine challenge is my vitamins on the weekend. Each morning I get them out and know when I need to take them throughout the day. I have the baggie for the day on my desk at work but on the weekend - you know the saying "out of sight, out of mind" - well that's me.
B: Big decaf coffee w/scoop of GNC vanilla protein powder
S: Premier Caramel protein shake
L: 2 oz. ham and string cheese
D: 3 oz. roast beef (in the crockpot now - yum), 2T of gravy, maybe a few bites of veggies if I have room

The early morning ones and before bed ones are no problem. It's the 10, 2 and 3 ones that give me issue. I put them in my purse, but it seems like we're always on the go on the weekend and when I don't see them I forget about them. Hubby will sometimes remind me, but he often forgets too. I usually get them all in, just not on the exact schedule I like sometimes.

That's what I do. My B12 is every second day, so I just put a reminder in my phone. My husband set a reminder to his Fitbit to vibrate every so often to remind him to get some water.
But I guess that only works if you use tech.
otherwise I guess trying to link it to your lunchtime. Even if out and about, you must have a bite to eat?

Aw, very sweet picture and story, Daisy! I am sorry that I am posting from my work computer, so I don't have any pics to share today. Maybe later, but I am typing while pretending to take notes in a meeting....don't tell. ;)
No exciting plans for the weekend. Just some well deserved relaxing time with my favorite guy and a bonus trip to Ikea with friends.
QOTD: I just had a conversation about all of this with Grim the other night... I have been out of all of my routines for the last few months, including exercise, weighing food, and taking vitamins (I wear my vitamin patches faithfully, but I need to supplement iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium by pill, and I have been forgetting a lot, lately). I'm often even logging MFP at the end of the day instead of the beginning, which is never good! I think what I am finding hard right now is that because I work in 7 different schools and they are all over the place, my commute is never the same from day to day, nor is my work load or schedule. So there are days that I can sleep until 6, and other days that I need to be in the car by 5:30am. That makes it hard to put in daily routines and stick to them. But I have to start getting back to basics! Especially the exercise.
B: Fit Frappe Espresso & Chobani Flips Apple Crisp
S: 1/4 c dry salted almonds & 1 babybel cheese
L: 2 Wasa Rye Crisps, 1 laughing cow wedge and 6 slices of pepperoni
S: Smash Fruit & Protein Pack (first time trying it)--it looks like one of those drinkable applesauce pouches, but it claims to have 14g of protein, 1 fruit serving and 180 calories. I found them at Target (sorry Daze). I'll report back if they are any good!

JB - Ikea's always fun!
I get you on getting back to basics with a different commute from day to day. That must be tough!
Exercise is always tough. I wake up many mornings with no motivation to work out or take a walk, but I push myself because i know it will help with my anxiety.
I'm sure you'll get back to everything soon!
