What's on your Menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
DD2 your grandmother was a beautiful woman! Love old pictures like that!
We have, yet another, busy weekend planned. Tonight dinner out with the boys (hubs and I already agreed to share steak fajitas for dinner), and then tomorrow night I'm hosting a housewarming party for a friend of mine. I sold her the home she built, and this is in appreciation of that. I've had SO MUCH fun coming up with the menu (both WLS friendly stuff and NOT stuff LOL), planning which platters to use with which items, finding such cute accessories for it... I think I would really love event planning! Sunday Open House.
I was happy to see the scale move this morning :) Hope it continues on!
My pictures are of my kids and my parents. The first one, with my son and my dad cooking! My son loves to cook, and my dad lives to plan meals I think. They were making pot stickers. And the second one is pretty silly, but last weekend my daughter made her first driving trip from Oklahoma City to Tulsa (it's almost 100 miles one-way). I was nervous, but she spent the night at my moms after spending the day at a state band competition for the bigger schools in our state (6A, we're 5A). So she took my mom out for breakfast, and this was them having fun. My parents are relatively young for how old I am (they're both 69, I'm 51), and while they are in great health, I'm starting to see them slow down a bit, and I know my kids won't have them around forever (and I guess I won't either, which is starting to worry me).
I left the house this morning and left my bag on the counter!
B: almost 1 egg and 2 pieces of bacon
L: I have no idea because I leave here at 11:30 and have to go put up signs an hour from the house. Something on the go, but protein forward!
D: beef fajitas from a restaurant (only meat and some of the WLS friendly sides, no tortilla. I will not drink any wine, and limit it to 2 chips if I have any before our meal)

I forgot QOTD!
I am not a planner by nature. I was raised in mayhem, and that's how I seem to operate! (I have improved with age). That being said, I have some habits I do adhere to as far as my WLS journey goes... I get up each morning, feed the dogs, go potty, get naked and weigh myself (regardless if it's weekday or weekend). I log it on my calendar in my phone. I put on my patches after my shower before I brush my teeth (I leave the packages sitting in front of the toothbrush holder). I carry the other vitamins I take in my purse in a baggy, so I get them taken as I think of them. My scale is always on one of the counters in the kitchen, and I weigh everything I put together in the kitchen. I fill up a 24oz bottle of water every morning with flavoring and about every 3-4 days a dose of Miralax. I drink that on the way to, and on the way home from work. At work, I fill up my 32oz glass as soon as I get here, and 2-3 more times throughout the day. When I get home I get a 24oz glass out and fill it up, and usually refill at least once in the evenings. While my meals aren't always planned out the night/days before, I do make good choices about what I cook at home. I just cant' do the whole make a list on a Sunday and plan out my meals for a week. I couldn't' even do that as a stay at home mom. I think I like the idea of making what sounds good that night (but always with good choices).

Good morning. Day 10 post surgery. Everything is going well, except some surgical site pain that is starting to hurt while I sleep. I assume that is pain from healing/scarring having pressure put on the area. The surgeon's nurse left a message this morning to see how I'm doing. I'll let her know.
