What's on your Menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Good morning, Daisy and Menu Crew! I am only supposed to wor****il noon today (not supposed to have overtime during the current oil field situation), but when I walked in this morning, the boss asked me if I could stay and told me that he had already gotten overtime approved. Great news! But, I didn't bring my lunchbox today because I was supposed to be home by lunch and snack time, so my menu is left to whatever I have stashed in my desk, which isn't a lot, but I will make it work.
QOTD: I am still working on clear cut procedures of the day! I do get up every morning, start coffee, go to bathroom and weigh, shower, robe up, pour coffee, and wake up the kids. While kids and hubby are dressing, I usually eat my breakfast (yogurt lately) so I can take all of my meds and vitamins. Kids dressed, we go to barn to feed, come back in, they change shoes and get ready for the school bus. While they are getting ready, I am putting on my makeup and usually finishing my second coffee. Hubby leaves, kids catch bus, I finish dressing and primping for work. Then, I start grabbing food and throwing into the lunch box. I usually have it all packed up from the night/afternoon before. (today, that's not the case.... eek!) I work and eat and sip and work and sip some more. Get home, clean the barn, walk the pigs, make dinner, weigh out or prepare tomorrow's meals, etc. I try to get a three or four mile walk/jog in before I go to bed, but it doesn't always happen. I have well over 10K steps by this point, so sometimes, I am so tired that I don't get it in, so I use the weight bench or do yoga and stretching so I don't have to get so far from the house after dark.

My Picture(s): I can't just pick one, so I added three:

Pic 2: My middle child, the only girl, making her mama proud, FISHING!!!!
Pic 3: My youngest, being a kid and finding some shade while we were working on the tractor. His smile melts my heart!
They are my pride and joy, y'all! They are the reason that I am doing this. I want to live to see them grow!

Me, too! Our kids are definitely outside kids. They don't even own video games. We try really hard to get them up and moving around and get out into the fresh air.

I hate the ups and downs as well. When this all started, they did a layoff of close to 30 admins in our basin. When they did that, I got to take over the two locations that one of the admins had plus the locations that I was over. I now have three locations across two lines of businesses. So, I have well servicing and fluid transport locations that I support. I'm ready for business to pick back up so they can hire someone and I can go back to my corner office with a view with all of my plants!!!!
