What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
I hope my dad knew that the Cubs won last night. He's a native Chicagoan and would have been SO excited (he has late-stage Alzheimer's, so I don't know what all he absorbs...). If it weren't for the dementia, I'm sure he would have been dancing in the streets!!
QOTD: I knew about the honeymoon period, but I don't know if I read about it or heard about it from my clinic. The clinic staff DID say that you lose the majority of your weight during the first year, though. They also said it's unusual for people to get down to a normal BMI (although very possible to get to "overweight" status), which is all the incentive I needed to get to a normal BMI. I'm only five pounds away, but this is getting SO hard. I'm fighting cravings every day. Ugh!!!!
17 months out (today!!)
B: L&F coconut vanilla yogurt with added protein powder, 10 raspberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: coffee with half & half, double protein shake
L: leftover 1/2 sesame salad topped with c. 2.5 oz grilled chicken (from Outback)
D: either 1 C chili or 1 C leftover pork stirfry (meat and vegetables only)
probably another greek yogurt or frozen pumpkin protein pop
on 11/3/16 8:31 am
Good morning, recovery continues.
QOTD. Yes extensive honeymoon discussion, but not about changes in malabsorption. I know I'm a newbie but that seems weird. If the malabsorption is due to the change in length of the intestine, how does it change? Does the body adapt? I'll do some searching to catch up on prior discussions. Thanks for the heads up.

Mike I should clarify, Arun is a SPORTS NUT, ALL SPORTS, and I mean ALL SPORTS. He LOVES Hockey!!!! I don't (please don't hate me)! Arun played hockey growing up and fully gets into all things the Leaf's and Canadians and the very real rivalry between them! He has been to many Leaf's game and invites me along and I just tell him to take one of his guy friends. I will tell why I don't like hockey, I really really detest the violence and unnecessary checking/slashing in the game. Do I think hockey players are talented, very much so, what they can do on skates is amazing, I just am super sensitive to all that bashing around, I just want to see guys play hockey!!!! And as a girl from Canada they say here there are two seasons: baseball & hockey, so even if I wanted to I can't get away from it LOL
I see you are a man after my own heart, shrimp & ****tail sauce for dinner! LOL LOL
Have a great workout tonight!!
Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be the team to be in just a few seasons, they have many young, talented players. I enjoy baseball as well, though miss the Expos, they were my home team. I went to see hundreds of Expos games through the years, I hope they are able to get a team again and put them in the same division as the Blue jays, Red Sox and Yankees. The Red Sox have always been my favorite team!
I am really hoping to make it to Toronto some day to meet you and Arun and am rather excited we would have awesome tourguides. I would have to go to the Hockey Hall of fame!
Joddie is working at the ER tonight, so an easy meal for me, I love shrimp. Fish and all shellfish seem to agree with my sleeve.
Have a great night Daisy!
