Good Morning and happy Friday-Eve. I was sorta watching the game as I was crocheting and did catch some of the highlights this morning. What an exciting game for the fans. How did your infusion go yesterday?

QOTD: They never talked about the "honeymoon period" but touched on the fact that some of the malabsorption changes once some of the little "feelers" grow back (I can't remember the proper term at the moment!). I learned most of the specifics here.

Glad you're enjoying your menu, I have been trying to change mine up daily since I was so bored with my meal routines lately.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 2 months

Good morning Daisy and menu friends , I'm in a happy place this morning . The scale finally moved down 2 lbs after 6 days of nothing . In my heart I knew it would eventually cause I'm being 100%compliant.The mind however was being a real bully . I was in 2 stores yesterday and tried to talk myself into buying the reduced candy . Then at the checkout I thought about buying a small bag of chips . I had convinced mystery that I was starving . Proud to say I didn't cave in the end.

QOTD :My center didn't tell me any of this info . First I heard of this was on this board . At my 3 months check up they wanted me to add more calories and have carbs at every meal . So grateful that I found this site .

Menu

B 2 oz of tuna with balsamic dressing

L Protein drink with PB2

D 2 oz of chicken

S 3 / 4 cup of plain Greek yogurt

Morning Everyone!!

I'm going to be tired this afternoon, because we stayed up for the ENTIRE game! It was such a nail-biter, I thought I was going to get sick! LOL But I'm very happy that the Cubs got their victory! The curse is gone now!!

I have been thinking a lot about what you said yesterday, DD2, and I'm going to star****ching things more closely. I really don't want to waste my last few precious months, that's for sure! Also, since my boss retired, and I have a new Commander in Chief, we had a talk yesterday and I will have more flexibility with my time. I am going to do some research and FINALLY find a gym to use. I've decided the time for me that should be most successful would be at lunch, so I need a place close to here. Problem is, most of the gyms are more expensive around here, but that's OK, we get reimbursed $300/year for health benefits, so I'll justify the higher price. Time to get more active and see if I can't tone up these tired muscles in the process!

I did well last night, food wise. Staying up until midnight I really found myself getting hungry... after 48 ounces of more water than I would have consumed going to bed at 9:30, I was hungry... so I grabbed .5 ounces of beef jerky and munched on that around 10:30pm. Not ideal to eat that late, but much better than the tortilla chips my friends were eating (my post WLS friend non the less!!). They leave tomorrow night to stay with another friend, and I hope they take the chips and vodka with them!

B: 2.7 ounces of fajita meat, decaf coffee with half and half and caramel SF syrup

L: can of smoked oysters and 4-5 pork rinds

D:Have a team building meeting tonight. Looked at the menu, and I'll probably pick the steak fajita street tacos.

S: I'm going to go for no snacks since I'm going out to eat. If I need something, there's jerky, protein bars, and cheese sticks to choose from

I guess my numbers won't be high enough with just this... gonna need to look at what I can do.

I love my daily walks with Lily for exercise. I'm not sure they help with weight loss but I know I sleep better and am more focused when I move more.

Good Morning!! A bit bleary eyed, stayed up with Jim for the whole game!! Theo broke another curse!! Baseball fans will understand!!

QOTD: Similar to JB, this is not my 1st rodeo. Not sure where or when I heard, but I did know about a limited time for malabsorption. My program does encourage a higher daily calorie amount so I just report on my daily protein and avoid calorie discussion. I did assume I would feel a restriction right off though. I will continue to value ALL advice given here!!

8 weeks out from surgery today!

B: coffee w/ SF coffee-mate, Venison chili from the freezer, dab of sour cream, sprinkle of cheddar cheese

L: Tuna pouch w/ low fat mayo 1 tbs.

D: Grilled skinless chicken thigh

S: 1/2 scoop unjury chicken broth X2  (this is helping knock down the hunger pangs!!)

Edited to add my totals need some more sleep!!

Cal:592   Prot:72   Carb: 23 (from the beans in the chili, but I need some fiber!!)

Water weight blues are gone!!
