Good Happy Thursday everyone! Another day in the 80's here and I LOVE IT!!! My Christmas trees are going up next week and decorating will begin. (My husbands parents died when he was younger so they never really had Christmas after that so we celebrate for as long as we can)

QOTD- No ma'am not one word about a honeymoon period. I had read and knew but I didn't know exactly how it worked. I just knew I had about a year to get everything I wanted off.

L- 2 oz of 90/10 Hamburger patty A1

D- 2oz Broiled Flounder with 1/2 tsp Tartar sauce

I'm a New England girl, so I can't imagine putting up a Christmas tree when it's 80+ degrees! How fun!

Morning!

What a game! Cold and rainy here too. Ugh. I can handle cold, but let the sun shine!

qotd: they kinda did... they talked about the window, but at the same time never spoke about calories, and push huge servings (relatively) and carbs. And their weight loss goals are super conservative. Definitely some mixed messages!

Menu:

B: 1egg , some steak

L: tuna

D: steak veggie stir fry, with cauliflower fried rice

S : protein shake if needed

have a great day every one!

My center definitely emphasized the honeymoon period.  I had to go through 6 months of classes prior to surgery and part of that included video homework of watching a series of videos by a WLS psychologist and she talked about the honeymoon quite a bit.  At my 3 mo. post-op, my surgeon said the next 3 months will probably determine how successful I would be.  I have my 6 mo. post op on 11/30.  I hope he is pleased with results.  I was hoping to be a little further along, but the health benefits thus far have been great.  We're hoping to be on a 40th year wedding anniversary trip on my one-year surgiversary (June 3) and I'm really hoping to be at goal or close to it by then.

B:  Big Decaf w/GNC Vanilla protein

L:  1 oz beef jerkey (trying to use up the left-over camping supplies) and 1 string cheese

D:  2 oz ham, 1 egg

S:  .5 oz pork rinds

I your husband Daisy- I feel like he is #twinsies with my son over sports.... I so have the visual hahahahaha...

Glad to be posting..been a week. Some of you may not have seen my late post the other day. My Neice and my 2 10 year old grand-niece twins got hit by a drunk driver Sunday night in Salem, Mass. All had multiple injuries, Mom and one twin are home, and the word I got last night was "They had a better day yesterday" the other twin is in serious condition, had one surgery already to pin/reconstruct quite a few bones... and today is having surgery on her ankles and feet. {{sigh}}

I had laser surgery on a varicose vein on Tuesday and have a soft cast on my thigh for lack of a better description. So I am with JB in rejoicing that my weight is down even with the cast. I take it off Saturday...

A little sunshine in the midst of my week was this Last night:

Me and Supper Shopper/Hillary at Charming Charlies in NYC. We had a nice time walking around, sat in Bryant Park on a beautiful afternoon drinking giant cups of tea. We went to one kiosk and their only size for coffee was like 10oz? WTF? We both looked at each other...uhmmm Nooo we don't do little cups of coffee LOL... Had dinner with her hubby and a few friends that came from Atlanta with them.Fun!

NSV- cast and all.. I booked my butt to the train from the restaurant... 45th and 5th ave to 34th street and 7th Ave in about 20 minutes and made the train with about 2 minutes to spare. I am usually a road warrior in the car but with a rental car and taking valium I figured the train was safer... As I've been know to say about NY driving - if you don't get honked out or you don't honk at someone else, you ain't driving right... LOL.

Today I have a medical massage and an eye exam from my own accident.... SO life goes on :)

QOTD: My center mentioned nothing about changes in malabsorption during the process. I have heard it mentioned during support meetings. They do give you unlimited access to a registered Dietician for the first year at no extra charge and the dieticians are always at the support groups for at least part of the time... so you can always ask questions. With more and more people getting sleeves the RNYers are becoming a small minority.

B: Coffee Latte fairlife and miralax, spaghetti squash omelette

L: Tuna and vinegrette

D: rib eye steak

Snacks: Fuzzy navel protein in water, babybel cheese and hard boiled egg, chocolate chai latte

EX: Still not doing usual exercising since accident- maybe some stretches  and walking
