Super frustrated.
Weight before pre-op liquids was 395. Went into surgery 386. CAME HOME FROM THE MUTHER******G HOSPITAL 408!!!!! Am one week 2 days post op and am stalled at 385. Really frustrated and emotional. :( Feeling like I'm failing and not gonna lose weight. I am drinking 2 protein shakes a day, along with as much fluid as I can get.
Side note, I only have pain way beneath my belly button, like in my hanging belly fat lol. It is warm and a litttle red and the skin and fat inside feel kinda rough. Nurses have said not to worry but it's weird and painful. Anyone else have this?

Dude, really? It's the Internet, and that was clearly no way directed at people. Get off that high horse and try again.
Hi Wanna,
Yikes, sounds like you had a rough time in the hospital. Glad you're happy to be home.
I had a 7 lb gain after surgery too and was only in the hospital 2 days - ugh! I lost 22 lbs in the 2 weeks pre op while I was on the liquid diet so the big in hospital gain was disheartening. It came off and then I stalled for the last couple days but today, voila! Losing again and broke the big barrier, am now in Twoterville! Persevere, you can do it!
Most of my pain was in my belly button area but I think that was due to the repair of my umbilical hernia that they did during the surgery. My lumpy belly looked like a spooky Halloween face!
Hang in there!

I also gained in the mother******g hospital. It took me a week to get back to my surgery day weight. Follow the mother******g plan and you'll do fine.

Okay... I was getting really attached to you when you disclosed that you dust with a leaf blower. I think you might now be my most favorite person ever.

My weight on surgery day was 323.5, down from my highest weight of 342. Day I got home from the hospital? I got an "e" on my scale... meaning I was over 345 lbs. I was really ticked off and commented sarcastically to my husband that there must have been gravy in my stupid IV. The weight did come off, it took 10 days to get below my surgery weight. Now I am in two-terville :) and pretty jazzed about it!
