What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?

Thank you for your honesty achelle! All of this will come with time, the acceptance part is hard, early out like you are I had a few "OMG what did I do" moments. But as the weight came off and the NSVs kept growing and growing and my confidence started to grow I found myself "accepting" it better. It will come, I promise.
Fantastic menu! Good for you on your exercise, keep up the great work!
Thank you! It is taking some time but I am trying my best to be okay with everything. My anxiety has me periodically worried about possible future issues related to RNY (Dumping, RH, Vitamin deficiencies, the possibility of hernias, etc), so i'm battling with the "what did I do" pretty often. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Hugs... It gets easier over the years... And I am a very strong minded woman...but I still get meltdowns once in a while... Really do. My meltdowns are not very often. ... And I treat then as any other "injury"... Like a bruised shin..."yeaI.. yeah...it hurts..it will pass..."
I know it is temporary, me feeling sorry for myself ..and it will pass.. I let it ride...like a good cry..we need that once in a while...then I can "wipe my tears, wash my face, put on my make up, and my high heels and face the world again".... Because if nothing else - being a skinny ***** - I can put on the most crazy outfit , dress it up with high heals and get complements left and right...
I just got the crazy pattern leggings in a dolar store... I would never buy them even 30 lbs ago.. And they look great on me... I plan to wear them to my yoga tonight... (i washed them)

Yes, I think you need to expound more on this Korean dish! Actually, I think you need to move to Oklahoma City, so I can come over and learn some of your dishes!

haha, Pammieanne!
I responded to Cheryl with this above, but i'm going to copy it here too: I put some chicken thigh filets, onions, and bell pepper into the crockpot with about 1/2 cup of store-bought korean BBQ marinade (it wasnt sugar free, whoops) and 1 cup of water in a crockpot and cooked it on low for 8 hours. It's pretty good, but I cooked a lot and I may need to freeze some because I'm gonna get sick of it pretty qui

QOTD: Still too early out to have those days but am quite sure they will come. I know the OH community will be helpful when it happens for me. Luckily I have a family full of boosters who will help me through too.
Funny observation: So many people have mentioned the helpful advice of vets on the board and I was thinking "why are they listening to advice from vets thinking veterinarians?" Duh. I have self-corrected.
New taste treat: Have been getting so sick of everything being sweet in this full liquid phase so bought some buttermilk the other day. My dad used to like to drink it occasionally but just plain didn't float my boat. So I've been experimenting with spices and now have a new little fun protein booster: spiced buttermilk shots. I add a spice (eg curry, cumin, dill, black pepper, hot sauce, etc) to 2-3 oz buttermilk and drink. Yep, I know, not for everyone but a zesty change for me. Easy way to get in another couple grams of protein.
B-GNC total lean swiss chocolate shake 25 gm protein, 14 oz fluid
S-buttermilk shot 2 gm protein, 2 fluid oz
L-chicken enchilada strained soup, SF jello
S-SF fudgesicle, 4 gm protein
D-GNC total lean pumpkin spice shake 25 gm protein, 14 oz fluid
S-buttermilk shot 2 gm protein, 2 fluid oz, SF hot chocolate made with skim milk 12 gm protein, 8 fluid oz
Will sip on iced cranberry juice throughout the day.
E-2 loops through the neighborhood
PS Love the doggie pics!

Great idea on the buttermilk. I grew up on it... with crumbled saltines mixed in. Sounds like hot sauce and a little pepper would be great. You could also try the Unjury chicken protein powder... 21 grams protein for a cup, and it is very savory.

Definitely here to help and support Terri! So glad you have a great family who supports and "boosts" you up!
I LOL'd at the "Vets" versus Veterinarian, that is tooo funny! If we ever use some slang or acronyms you don't know ask or do a search up in the top right hand corner there is a magnifying glass, click that and you will hopefully get an answer you need.
How many calories are you eating Terri? I notice you post protein numbers and fluid ounces, I am just curious where the rest is at? You will notice most of us post the calories, protein, carbs and fat numbers that we get when we log on MFP (MyFitnessPal).
I could personally never drink buttermilk but that's just me. How many calories was in your "shot" for 2 gms of protein? Are you drinking 14oz (so just shy of two cups) of protein shake for your breakfast and the same for your dinner? 14oz is a lot.
I know your fudgesicle and jello are sugar free but how many calories are they? 4 gm of protein in a fudgesicle?
I am just tying to understand your menu at two weeks out of surger.? If you don't want any suggestions or help I will happily butt out but I am cornered this seems like a lot of food and calories for two weeks out. Just trying to help.
Thanks Daisy
