WHAT!!!!! CONGRATS DG on being in the 160s, how exciting is this! I think you will hit your first goal of 140 lbs by Christmas easy!
I am so glad you reached out to the Vets on here and got such good advice because clearly you are doing something right!!! Its very confusing early out and I wish more newbies like you would reach out, send a PM to one of the Vets instead of giving up and leaving OH. So glad you did not listen to your NUT, I am sure she is a lovely person but not post WLS expert. I was just chatting with the Nurse who hooked me up for my Iron Infusion (she is also a good friend) and I was telling her how the staff at my WLS centre although they are really nice people and clearly want to help they give out horrible instructions/advice for post surgery and she said something that really stuck with me she said not all Practitioners can give out "real life" advice, some are all about the text book, meaning this is what it says in the book that you should do so they just regurgitate it back to us. I would seriously love to see some post WLS people become staff at my Centre, we live this life everyday and that's what needs to go back to the newbies, not a NUT reading out of book or listing off what the Standard Food Guide looks like. Rant over, congrats on the amazing weight loss so far!
I see you are on the kielbasa kick too, I love that stuff and its so filling and great protein!!! I LOL'd at 'bacon bits" for a snack, why not?? Its bacon!!!
Have a awesome day my friend!
I honestly think it should be required for post WLS patients to work at surgey centers. Just like you said it is text book advice. Yes that works for some people not everybody.
YES to the bacon bits! I love them lol.

QOTD: Nothing like that yet, but I am upset with the scale today. Too much salt in the Kielbasa 3lb GAIN from yesterday and Monday. Need xtra fluids to flush the salt out!!!!!
