This is my first reply on this page.  I have not had a meltdown yet but I still very new at this.  I joined this site back in 2009 when I was considering having the surgery.  I got overwhelmed by all the hoops we have to jump through for months before we actually get a surgery date.  I restarted the process this past January and had surgery on June 14, 2016.  My highest weight was 466.  I shocks me to see the number in black and white.  I am so far one of those folks who say I wish I had done it sooner.  I have had no side effects.  I had very little post op pain and no nausea.  I vomited twice in the hospital and one more time several weeks out (I ate too much to fast).  Today is my 55 birthday and I wanted to lose 110 pounds.  I missed it by 6 pounds but I feel very happy about losing 104.  This is what I eat almost every day.

B. Premiere Protein shake

L. Oikos low fat fruit on the bottom black cherry Greek yogurt

D. A frozen dinner Either lean cuisine or smart ones (eat one in divided servings

S. An Oscar Meyer P3 protein pack.

I have eaten refined sugar (had a small piece of birthday ice cream cake) but it did not bother my stomach at all, no cramping, no excess gas, no diarrhea, no nausea.  This makes me nervous because I love sweets.  I don't exercise but I try walk a lot.  I don't know what I am doing I just know that I want to lose 150 more pounds and keep it off for ever.
