What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I bring pork rinds to parties where there will be chips and dip... funny thing is, better bring a big bag, because everyone else loves them too. They are a great alternative! Funny thing is, they have 10g of fat in 1 ounce... the exact same as a bag of Lays potato chips... but they also have 14 grams of protein... plus, an ounce of pork rinds sure seems like more food than an ounce of chips.
They are fried fat, but most of the fat looks to be fried right out of them

It stinks when something get stuck because then you don't want to eat it again for a looong time! The flavored tuna pouches come to mind for me... and I liked them! I'm going to try them again one of these days... when I get up the nerve that is! LOL

I haven't got my nerve back to try the tuna pouches again. And of course I bought a lot of them. So
I appreciate the fact that Daisy eats it for breakfast, no less.
Just for the record - protein in pork rinds are collagen proteins. They are great for skin and joints, and hair, and nails.. But they can't use use as a replacement for our essential 50-60 gr of complete proteins.
Btw - like you - if I take or serve pork rinds at a party - I need a big bag. People eat it before they eat chips.
If they get saggy - not crisp - nuke them for 20-60 sec..or longer... They crisp up nicely... Yum yum..

Not that I eat enough of them that I've relied on them for protein, but I definitely won't in the future for sure! I had no idea... but I do love that they help with the collagen! Do you think if I eat enough, they'll make my skin pliable again so it shrinks down??

Hi all i'm 5 weeks post op.
My day today:
B: 1/2 premier protein, blended with 1tbs pb2 and 1/2 banana
S: 1/4c hummus with a Broghie
L: salmon salad (2 oz salmon sashimi with capers, sundried tomato, 1/4 avocado, chives and 1 tsp lemon juice)
S: 1/2 premier protein
D: 1/2 baked bell pepper (stuffed with ground chicken and fireroasted tomato sauce with lots of garlic and onion of course, oh and some green olives in the mix as well)
totals: 768 calories, 68 grams protein 54 carbs 31 fat
V: patch MD (the usual 4)
E: walking
Hi menu gang,
I had my post written earlier and went to send i lost it. Didnt have time to rewrite it till now.
Im really struggling with my eating and i dont know why. Im binge eating junk food. The other day i ate a whole package of chip ahoy cookies in several sittings. I try not to buy it because i know what will happen. I get in the store and im pulled in to it. I just came back from the store but my friend was with me so i didnt buy anything but i know if i was by myself then i would of bought something. I have to stop the madness. I know if i would quit eating it for a few days then i would quit craving it. I really need some help. My weight keeps going up and i need to stop that. Hopefully my confession will help. Happy to hear any advice.
QOTD At 15 months out, i started to eat treats occasionally but now it seems like a daily occurrence. I noticed this summer im having exercise fatigue. I dont want to do it. Im just a basket case right now.
B egg whites ham and cheese omelet and string cheese
L grilled chicken ranch snack wrap at mcdonalds

S Greek yogurt, apple and turkey sausage snack sticks
