NSVs

Here's some words of encouragement for those that need it.  Nearly every day provides some NSVs - here are some of the latest.

Last night DH and I went on a 3 mile walk.  We used to do this walk 3-4 times a week before I gained weight back this last time.  It felt sooo good.  This is not only for the exercise, but it's great alone time where we can talk without distractions.  We've both really missed this time.  A little sore this morning, but looking forward to Wednesday already when we plan to walk again.

I've had a pair of slacks hanging in the closet.  Last time I tried them on about a month ago they were way too tight.  This morning I put them on with ease.  They're actually probably too loose, but I hope to be able to wear them for at least a month. Same thing happened with a skirt on Sunday - hubby said you better plan on wearing a belt so you don't lose it.

We were on a camping trip a week ago and we hiked almost every day.  Not long hikes 2-4 miles each, but a year ago I didn't even attempt any sort of hikes.  It was great to be out in the woods again.  I didn't have a food scale on the trip so I had to eyeball it which made me nervous.  I weigh all my food.  Must have done ok though because I lost 2 lbs. on the trip.

Congratulations! It's the best feeling to have a pair of pants or a shirt be too small, hanging in your closet, and in merely a few weeks, you're wearing it!! I love that feeling so much!

Congratulations on all of the hiking/walking too! That's a great NSV for sure!

Awesome NSVs. I think it is great that you and your husband went for a walk and the most important thing is you talked. We spend so much time running around and not even focusing on each other.

Thank you for sharing. Keep the NSVs coming.

So encouraging! Good for you. It's always good to be reminded that this wait is worth it. I have a dress that is too tight that I want to wear to our company Christmas party. So I'm sticking to a diet like a fiend. Lol. On the plus side, my surgeon appointment is a week later when I get the date for surgery so at least he will m ow how serious I am.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!
