Great strategies Yvonne, I love that you eat by the clock, you don't buy junk food, let's face it if its not in the house we won't eat it right!
Great looking menu!!! Keep up the great work!!
Hello Daisy and Menu Crew!
I had a very busy morning so I'm coming in pretty late.
I am both a stress and bored eater. I am learning some coping mechanisms that I've discussed with my therapist for my anxiety that I am hoping to also incorporate into my hunger coping skills later on. I have begun walking, adult coloring books, building lego models with my husband, working out, taking a walk, yoga/meditation, and of course household chores. I'm also reading everyone's answers for tips for the future. I'd like to be prepared when my hunger comes back.

I hope therapy is going well for you achelle! You seem to have some great coping skills, love love the building lego models with your hubby. OMG my sister and I had a million billion lego's as kids and we would get lost for hours building and creating!\
Great menu numbers, keep up the great work girl!

Good afternoon. Yesterday was better after my Sunday dump, so I'm eating more slowly. feeling good and looking for activity opportunities.
The kids trick or treating yesterday were very cute. My wife and I live in a townhouse complex, so lots of young families. We heard many times last night that this was the child's first time trick or treating. We have the sweetest dogs but they have ferocious sounding barks. A few kids were down the block before we could get to the door. Most of them know Oreo and Brandy, so you kept hearing - oh it's just Oreo. Then she'd run out to greet everyone. Gave out Dots, Tootsies and Tootsie Pops. So fun. I wanted a sucker, so I made a Twisted Cherry Syntrax shake. That was perfect.
I'm an all opportunity eater, so give me a reason or not.
Menu
B. .5 cup thinned cream of wheat. Keep me out of the kitchen. I was using microwave method and half boiled over. What a mess.
L Light and fit coconut Greek
S Syntrax vanilla torte shake with nonfat milk
D .5 cup cream of tomato soup

Hi Alan,
Congrats on your surgery, so glad to have you on the menu post!
Your evening last night sounds like so much fun! I have to Labs, and my black Lab has a very loud vicious bark but he is the biggest 80 lbs suck that ever lived, so I totally know what you mean! Good for you on making a shake and not giving into candy and trust me it would have made you so sick it would not have been worth it!
I see you are on the "soft food" stage, its hard and it does get old fast, and may I make a suggestion. I know most centre's recommend cream of wheat or oatmeal at this stage, I had it on my post op plan but considering the tiny amount of food we eat at this stage I just want to put the idea in your head that you could eat something with protein and not carbs and get better numbers. Totally just a suggestion. I came here on OH when I was a fresh post op and saw that all the Vets were saying don't eat oatmeal or cream of wheat (yes even though our Centre's put it on the post op menu plan) and I took the Vets advice and so glad I did. Unless you are adding in unflavored protein powder to your cream of wheat then that's great but just eating it as is is not a great amount of protein.
Hope to see you on the daily menu thread, ask any questions, we are all here to help!
All the best,
Daisy

Just stopping in for a quick hello. I know it is late in the day and I don't know all who will see this.
Had to be out early for my varicose vein laser surgery... went well have some kind of bandage/flexible cast over it, and can't shower for 4 days.... ugh. sponge baths...double ugh.
Life is handing me Lemons.... but I still say God is good.
My pain from car accident seems to be getting worse not better...boo
Biggest Boo- My niece and her 10 year old twins were crossing the street in a crosswalk Sunday night after some Halloween festivities and got hit by a drunk driver. Too mentally/emotionally exhausted to go into details... but my understanding from others is it ha**** national news- Even Toronto for you Daisy if you want to look it up. All have injuries and one twin needed surgery and is still in serious condition. They live in Boston Area, happened in Salem. My heart is aching....
That is all.... food plan seems unimportant today. No exercise, my body needs rest. Vitamins done.
