Ummmm lucky you on no stress and no boredom! again jealous! LOL LOL Tell me more about this showing pigs and goats? That sounds super cool!
I am excited you joined the menu board now pre op, its great to get into the habit of logging on here and the support is fantastic from all these great people! Yay on 27 days!!!
Great menu, keep coming back and ask us anything, we are all here to help!!
Showing pigs and goats is an amazing opportunity for any child. It teaches them responsibility, builds character, and is a great scholarship opportunity for any and all kids.
i tried to put some pictures here, but I can't do it from my phone. I'll try to put some on Wednesday menu board

Hi Daisy and menu crew! I cannot agree more with your statement to those early out from surgery to take advantage of that time! Being 3 years out next month, I can eat pretty normal sized meals and can see how regain is a common thing. It takes daily willpower to not slip up, and I am far from perfect but I do focus on protein first, not drink for 30 minutes after my meals, weigh myself everyday, and attempt to exercise 4x a week. So far, so good.
I was totally a stress and boredom eater before surgery. I realized this pretty soon after surgery when I had a super stressful and bad day at work, and got home and heated up a chicken sausage and ate maybe 1/3 of it before I was full... it was a realization that I can't come home and eat most of a large pizza for dinner! I had to find ways to cope with my stress, and I have found that being active and exercising and just moving my butt has helped with that. Now, I find that I am a boredom eater, but since moving in with my boyfriend (who is NOT a snacker), it really keeps me in line because I don't want to be the only one scarfing down all the food LOL!
Time since surgery: 6 weeks short of 3 years. From 351 day of surgery to 168 today.
B: Egg salad made with mayo and mustard and salt and pepper
L: Honestly, chicken noodle soup. Not ideal to have a liquid with a solid, and it's not the most protein forward, but last night's turkey taco leftovers are going to the BF and it's cold and dreary here, so whatever
D: I nabbed an idea from Duffman on Friday's post so I am making Hawaiian chicken in the crockpot (served over rice for the BF and just as is for me - it has soy sauce, ginger, garlic and crushed pineapple)
E: An hour at the gym
Have a wonderful day, Daisy! Keep up the positivity you bring to the post everyday! And hopefully Angry Viking will check in - I saw on FB that she's been working a ton so take care of yourself, Kristen!

We are the "just shy of 3 years" girls!!! Love it DC!
Boy does it ever take daily willpower not to slip up, I am far from perfect too, but like you its always protein forward, wait my 30 mins, weight myself and my food daily and exercise.
Love that you have a whole new set of coping mechanisms now for dealing with stress and its wonderful you have such an awesome and supportive guy to help you along the way, that makes me super happy!
There you go again posting a menu that is exactly what I would eat! LOL #copycatmenu
Yay for making the crockpot chicken Duffman posted! Tell us how it turned out!

I am a stress eater. Once in a while I will get so upset that I can't eat. That is rare.
Walked my four miles this morning it was beautiful out. I am trying to finish all my housework so I can run to the beach real fast. I have an interview tomorrow over there so I just might wait till then. I love the warm weather. It feels so good.
B:Protein bar and protein drink I had them when I walked this morning. I had an incident of feeling dizzy again so I made sure I had foos with me.
L:Turkey and cheese
D:Steak on the grill
S:I will be taking my protein bar to my AA meeting. There is always a ton of candy and crap at them. I wish they would see they are taking on another addiction for the one they had.
Well enjoy the day.

Hope you got to the Beach! And good luck on your interview tomorrow!
Is your BP to low Susan? When is the last time you had a general check up at the Doctors office, dizzyness is not good. I hope you keep ID and a phone on you in case when you are out if something happens you have a phone and ID. Please take care of yourself!
Congrats at your continued sobriety, you are awesome!
Good morning!
QOTD: Both and all. I eat at every emotional opportunity and when I am bored, even though I am a knitter, crocheter, sewer, and general crafter. Daisy, I am counting on the fact that I will never be hungry again ;/... please say you were joking!
B: Premier Protein Vanilla with sf Torani Pumpkin Pie
L: 1/2 c nf cottage cheese with 1 T sf blackberry jam
D: poached egg with cheese slice
S: Carbmaster strawberry banana, babybel, Syntrax crystal sky in water
Totals: 594 calories 80 protein 25 carbs 19 fat
I am back on the low carb train, blood sugars are back to completely normal. Yay. Bananas are bad. And, I had NO CANDY. NO CANDY. Yay for me.

I am glad that you recognize that you eat for all "opportunities" and knowing yourself is half the battle right? And its great that you have all those crafty things to keep you busy and occupied. Wanna make me a sweater? LOL LOL LOL Kidding!
Oh my dear I WISH I was joking about the hunger thing. For me personally I do get hungry, at least I think I do. Maybe its head hunger, but pretty sure its a bit of real hunger and head hunger, and yup it sucks! Some people never get hunger back, but I know for the 3 yrs I have been on these boards I have mostly seen people say the hunger came back and only a few who said they never feel hunger, fingers crossed you are the later of the two!
Your breakfast sounds yummy! Vanilla & pumpkin Pie, yes please!
Oh wish you had of asked us about the banana before you tired it! As you know I am 3 yrs post op and I literally can only eat 2-3 bites of a banana and it fills me up so much and I react to the sugar so its a rare rare thing I ever eat. So glad you resisted the candy!! That's a win!
Great menu CJ, keep up the great work!
I thought I was buying a sampler pack of the winter themed torani syrups but bought a full 27 ounce size of each... so come on over. I have my premier protein vanilla shake heated up every morning with coffee and either pumpkin, gingerbread, or brown sugar cinnamon Torani syrup. OMG yum. I could start up a coffee stand...
