What's on your Menu today (Spooky Monday) RNYers?
Great pic! As long as you don't boil the shake it will be fine - I make my coffee every day with a Premier protein shake and some Torani SF syrup.
Luv the picture! I should dress like that at work or at our union meetings since my job & union sometimes puts that picture on their website/emails.

Happy Halloween!
we don't get any trick or treaters at our place, so I'm heading to my sister's place who lives in a subdivision overrun with kiddos! I'll leave a note and bowl on the step though, just in case!
qotd: this is a timely one for me. Pre op I was relatively active. I attended yoga semi regularly, played team sports like volleyball and curling and this past spring I took swimming lessons at the Y (which I loved!) and my dog gets a couple of good walks a day.
I already left a voicemail at my clinic 'this morning. They cleared me for regular activity, but I forgot to specifically ask if that included strength training. I'm hoping yes. I am keen to get back to something challenging.
Menu
B:stew (finally reached the end hahah)
L: tuna and some cheese
D: chilli at my sisters
S protein shake if needed.
have a great day everyone!

That's great you can go over to your sisters and help out with all the kiddos!
Good for you for getting right back into your fitness routine post surgery, I hope you get good news from your Centre that you can start all exercise now! Have fun tonight!
Your pups are the cutest I can't stand that they're so cute .
QOTD: when it comes to exercise, in the beginning the first six months I just thought about activity for 30 minutes. Sometimes I would just set the timer on my kitchen oven and dance in the kitchen for 30 minutes or I considered power shopping my exercise for the day. It wasn't till six months out and I have lost 100 pounds that I really started exercising. The first winter I did the trampoline 45 minutes a day, then in the summer I did swimming every day my pool. Then a year ago last October I discovered the 21 day fix from beach body. Now I have actually owned it probably for about four years but I never really cracked it open and the rest they say is history I love doing the 30 minutes checking it off my list in the morning and done I have alternate it with a few other routines the Cize dance video and the 22 minute hard corp. sometimes I may do more later in the day -the trampoline or walk around the block with my friends a loop around my neighborhood is 2.2 miles. But I consider those bonuses at least I know I've checked off my list.
Felt a little more crappy over the weekend from the accident than I was hoping. Going to see primary care today. Who is someone new in the same office so that should be interesting. So we'll see where goes from here. I'm not supposed to get my car back till November 7. Boo.
Question for all of you. I do the MiraLAX in the morning but it doesn't really seem to be enough. I know people take magnesium. I do take magnesium but it's the type that doesn't make you have bathroom habits. But I've been taking that since before weight-loss surgery. I know some people take something at night and just curious if any of you out there take something and what you take.
1: coffee with MiraLAX and fair life milk, eggs and cheese
2: tuna with vinaigrette
3: pot roast with mashed Cauli and carrots
snacks: Syntrax fuzzy navel, baby Bell cheese, peanut butter,
ex: rest due to injury

When I had my colonoscopy, they had me drink an entire bottle of miralax, along with dulcolax, instead of that prescription stuff...
Since then, I realized that using more than the dosage of miralax won't hurt me... so what I do it about every 4-5 days, I have a 2-3 dosing of Miralax all at once in my morning water. It takes until the next day to kick in, but it works! Obviously this isn't something you want to do daily... but for a good 'cleaning out' it works wonders! LOL

Sorry you are still feeling the after effects of the car accident. Go slow & rest. It takes time for our bodies to heal. I swear I don't heal as quickly now that I am post WLS, maybe its just in my head but I swear pre surgery I could fall and bounce right back and not be sore, now not at all. Take care okay!!!
Glad you found all those great videos and your awesome trampoline to keep you busy and burn off all your extra energy! Nov 7th for your car is only a week away but I know how much it sucks not to have "your car", I totally get it!
Your QOTD, I am a huge supporter of MIRALAX (RESTORALAX in Canada). I have to say that whoever turned me on to it (sorry I don't remember who it was but thank you!) it has been a life saver for me. Even pre surgery I had problems going to the bathroom so now post surgery if I did not use Miralax I swear I would never go. I now use it DAILY. One full capful mixed into my first morning coffee and I am good to go (literally). I will say because its pretty pricey I did try the Walmart brand and call me crazy but it did not work as well as the brand name. And to test that theory, my best girlfriend who has not has WLS but does have trouble in the bathroom department I turned her onto the Miralax, she uses it daily as well, and LOVES it and she told me she also tried the Walmart brand and it didn't work as well. So is there something to it, not sure but I do only buy the brand name. I did find Cynthia that when we did AMAW and I was eating a lot of bacon (which I don't normally do) I had to actually cut back on the Miralax because the much higher fat in my diet made me go to the bathroom no problem, but once I stopped the bacon, had to go back on the Miralax. Good luck, nothing worse than that kind of pain!
By the way, got the Syntrax Fuzzy Navel and its amazing, I need order a tub of it from Amazon!! LOL
Feel better, hope you get lots of rest today!
