how often do you weigh?
I know I probably shouldn't be weighing everyday, but right now when the weight is coming off so fast, it's hard not to. I'm down 2 more pounds today, a total of 20 pounds from my pre-surgery weight ... and today is day 10 post surgery. I know I won't want to weigh so often when this slows down. so ... how often does everyone else weigh themselves?

I'm with you. I am six weeks out and can't wait to jump on the scale every morning. I'm down 38 lbs since I started this journey. except for the dreaded 3 week stall where nothing changed for over a week, I'm dropping up to a half pound most days. I know it will stop eventually, but right now it's very exciting and I can't help myself but weigh every morning.

I'm 9 weeks out. I still weigh every day. I don't lose every day anymore, but I do every week and it's still motivating to get on the scale. I guess when it starts slowing down enough that it feels like a negative thing instead of a positive one...that will be the time to switch to weekly.

I weigh almost every day, but I only record my weight once a week. I'm 17 months out, so I only lose 2-3 lbs a month now and my weight can go up or down any given day (unlike early out when it was pretty much down every day). However, fluctuations don't bother me. Once you get further out and your weight is no longer constantly going down, you may want to just weigh once or twice a week if you're not comfortable with fluctuation.
The 40 lbs is from my high weight which was a couple months pre op. I think our post op weights are pretty comparable. Pretty exciting! I'd love to keep in touch. How are you feeling now? I have an appointment tomorrow - it's my 2 week follow up a few days early.
