What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
on 10/30/16 3:37 am
Good morning, everyone! I'm posting from a nice warm bed and have no desire whatsoever to get going this morning. It's a good thing coffee tastes so yummy or I might never get up! Actually, today is going to be pretty low key so no reason to rush. I have a few hours of work I need to get done from home, then a friend and I are going clothes shopping later. I'm still searching for the elusive fall weather coat!!!
Yesterday, I did not eat even one thing on my proposed menu after breakfast--whoops. Instead, I had: 2 slices of cheddar cheese, an apple cider doughnut (I know, I know) and steak tips over a Greek salad for dinner. I'll try to stay a little more on plan today because obviously the doughnut was unplanned, and I certainly didn't come close to meeting any nutritional goals for the day. Also, my body is being a jerk and holding on to the water weight from surgery this week. Despite the fact that I've barely eaten at all since Tuesday, I'm still up to 119, which is above my comfort range in maintenance. I really need to focus and get back down to 115 where I'm happier. So here is the plan for today:
B: Fit Frappe Protein Coffee
S: Protein Ice cream (flavor TBD)
L: leftover steak tips over Greek Salad
D: probably a burger from B Good while we're shopping.
QOTD: Do you have a "rule" about when you turn in the heat in your home? Lots of hearty New Englanders around here say they won't turn it on until Dec 1. Or not until the temps are below freezing every night for a week. Poor poor Grim has had to shatter all rules since I've come into his life. The heat has been on upstairs for the majority of the week and it's only October! I'm happy and cozy (yay!) but I do feel a little guilty that he abandoned his rules for me!
Stay strong against the Halloween candy, my friends!
Morning!
qotd ugh here in Ottawa our heat has been on for a few weeks! The only thing that got me out of bed was my suck of a basset hound who wanted to be fed, but more so, wanted me to turn on the gas fireplace. We half joke about wiring a foot pedal he can use himself.
No hard rules here, but if it were up to my husband the house would def be a few degrees cooler!
Menu:
B : prob a bit more stew.
L: tbd we might be visiting
D: some kind of fi****hink. I've only tried shrimp and tuna. Time to expand I think.
S protein shake if I need it.
have a great Sunday everyone!
Good morning JB! Stay in bed as long as you can.
We turn the heat on when we are no longer comfortable! I am frozen all of the time but I am lucky that my husband gets cold easily now, so we have had heat on for a couple of weeks now.
I am new out, when I post my menu I have all intentions of eating what I write, but I usually can't fit it all in yet!

Reminiscing about Halloweens' past today. Miss making costumes for the boys, granddaughters are too far away to help out with that! One of the pictures I posted the other day reminded me that the older son asked for a "real costume" Pikachu, not a homemade one!!!

BTW, Grim actually warned me about your profile pic. I'm pretty much clown phobic, and you live very close by. No crossing state lines, ok!? Promise?
