What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?

Good early morning to you all! I've been up since 4am because I left work early yesterday (still recovering from mid-week surgery) but I laid down and watched like a million hours of tv   so was just not worn out enough to stay asleep. I hate that! 

Kind of a boring day ahead. I am taking Grim off with me early this morning to my parent's house to feed their kitty, while they have a weekend away. Then while we are in the area, I'm hoping we can go for a nice fall walk at the dam. It's a beautiful place with a zillion stairs that I'm excited to have the energy for this year :) After that, I'm excited to cast my early vote at Town Hall, get a mani, and just have another chill day. Maybe I'll even dust off the crock pot and try out a recipe from the menu thread yesterday!

QOTD: Do you Google yourself (Stop! Get your mind out of the gutter--you know what I mean!!)? I'm fascinated with the trend of parents naming their kids something super unique so that they can have a searchable name on the internet. My full name is probably like the 20th most common first/last combo that exists on the planet. I work in an office of about 60 people and two of us have the same exact name! I'm virtually ungoogleable unless you have some specific info about me to add to the search! What does the Internet say about you?

JB I know how it is, I get up at about 4 am every morning, I have an internal clock that goes off at that time for years now!

I have never googled myself, but now I will have to try.

Morning!

qotd: oh yeah, I've googled myself. In the early days out of curiosity. More recently, I owned my own business and would check in periodically to see if there were any blogs or media I'd missed ( we're talking small local stuff). 

Menu:

id been struggling with my calories for a couple of days (relatively). I thought at first it might be time to up them. But I realized it's the change in weather. It has me  seeking out more comforting foods, which are generally more calorie dense. So I found some alternatives: lit the fireplace, drinking more tea, reading by the fire. Finding wintery recipes that are wls friendly ( yay crockpot recipes!).

Anyone else have any suggestions that worked for you?

B: beef stew

L: prob something simple like cheese and meat as we will be out and about.

D : going to check out the crockpot recipes and throw something on!

calories under 500, protein 60

Im up early to drink a bunch of water so I can donate plasma later on.

QOTD yes I googled myself and it said I was a registered voter.

B egg whites ham and cheese omelet and garlic and herb jack cheese bites

L chicken salad, baby carrots and red pepper

D cheesy chicken chili and green beans

S greek yogurt,  apple and turkey sausage snack sticks

Mornin' all!

No exciting plans - although it's my mother's birthday today, so we'll probably go over to her condo tonight for cake or something.  Otherwise, I still need to unpack the car from my trip (ugh...).  Meeting a friend in about an hour for coffee, so that'll be fun

QOTD:  I hadn't googled myself in awhile, so I just did.  Library stuff, food-related stuff, genealogy stuff, organizations I'm in - pretty much covers my life!

B:  Chobani coconut yogurt with added protein powder, 10 raspberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola

S:  protein shake, coffee with half & half

L:   not sure

D:  grilled cod, cole slaw with miso sesame vinaigrette

a couple forkfuls of cake??  Probably another yogurt, too

Morning!! I've been on my run, dressed and am at bowling with the younger. Today I'm wearing his youth XL denim jacket :-). He said I can have it cause it looks better on me. After bowling I've gotta pick up a package at the post office. Then the day is open-- I need to grocery shop big time.

Good Morning Everyone!  Happy Saturday!

We have Book Club this afternoon.  The book we are reviewing is "The Night Gardener" by Jonathan Auxier, a semi-scary Halloweeny book.  My daughter started this Book Club over a year ago.  I'm proud of her for running it.  

QOTD:  Yes, I have googled myself.  I have a very unusual last name - Helleberg.  But surprisingly there are other Karen Hellebergs out there.  It's a Danish name and I thought we were the only Hellebergs in the USA, but apparently there are others.  When I google myself it just shows my Facebook page, LinkedIn page, and White pages.  Nothing too exciting.

B:  crepe w/ 3 strawberries, cream cheese, cool whip

L:  Lettuce, spinach, 2 h.b. eggs, cheese, bacon, light mayo

D:  chili cheese dog

S:  Light n Fit strawberry cheesecake Greek yogurt

S:  Moon cheese or Mr. Cheese O's

Exercise:  Walking the dogs around the subdivision

Happy Saturday! Not sure what we have going on today. But as I sit and sip my latte we are talking about walking  through the hot air balloon festival (the balloons are already in the sky but there are always craft vendors and stuff to wander through. At some point this weekend I want to stop in the running store and have them take a look at my shoes that are already wearing a little bit more than I'd like to see. Really not sure what/if they will suggest anything but I think it's worth a shot. Most of my menu is up in the air at the moment. Here is my best guess B: latte, boiled egg and string cheese. L: TBD S: latte and Siggi yogurt D: Spaghetti squash with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken and cheese. Run done and water/vits on track! Hope everyone has a great day! Take it easy JB!

QOTD:  Jackson is an incredibly common name.  My maiden name (Heath****) brings up a ton of hits, but mostly because my father is a very well known chemist and put up a geneology website, so my name (and pics) are posted all over it.  Bit alarming, I have to say...
