Morning Menu Family! Happy Hallow's Eve to the Eve to the Eve... (that's three day's right?!)
I am really not very good with my crock pot, I'll be honest. I can't really come up with anything that knocks my socks off when it comes to the crock pot. I'm hoping all of your recipes inspire me!
I do throw a beef roast in sometimes, and while it's really hit or miss as far as a recipe goes, here's an idea... not original or different at all...
CROCK POT BEEF ROAST
1 round rump roast (I get the biggest one I can find)
1lb bag of baby carrots (those are NOT really baby carrots folks, they are just trimmed to look like it! pet peeve of mine)
baby red potatoes (my family eats these up, so I put a lot in there, but you can do what you want)
Turnips (cleaned and peeled)
Garlic
Tony Chacherie's cajun spices
Freshly ground pepper
Rub the roast with a combination of your favorites spices. Throw the veggies in the pot, throw the roast on top. Turn it on for 10 hours, and leave. I do take the roast/veggies out, pour the liquid into a pot and throw some cornstarch in there to thicken... gravy.
That's all I got. I LOVE to cook, and that's probably why I don't use it much. I hope I find better things to do with my Instant Pot!
First picture if of my office door... we have a decorating contest. Doubt I'll win, but I threw the candy in there to at least bribe the judges and see what happens :) Second picture is from last year, hubby and I... I hope to look better in that hat this year! (My standard, if I'm not going to a party, but need to do something Halloween costume!)

I just read that those "baby" cakes are soaked in bleach prior to be turning ( cutting them into baby size) I won't ever use them again! I just buy the big ones and peel them myself.

My crock pot recipe is a simple roast. Nothing fancy though so I look forward to seeing other ideas to try.
