Love my new Instant Pot which I bought before surgery but I have no clue what to do with it.  I made chicken thighs once, lima bean soup once.  Makes a LOT of food.  Maybe we should have an Instant Pot menu day...

Hi Daisy,

I swear, do we share taste buds?  Your menu always looks sooooo delicious to me - I also love savory food, love tuna, love Indian chicken, love love love ground turkey tacos and make it weekly :)  We've always shared food ideas since we were a month post-op...you're like my menu sister :)

Honestly, my surgeon was a good cutter but didn't offer much info beyond that.  My NUT is totally worthless, and I refuse to go to the support group.  The support group is mandatory before surgery and it's a room of pre-ops that ask things like "Can I still have my aunt's german chocolate cake?" and everyone introduces themselves and gives long-winded speeches about them and their lives.  It's pointless.  I come to OH for advice, help, inspiration, and the occasional hand-slapping ;)

Time Since Surgery: 3 years in December

B: Crab dip on crackers (yep, I am all about the savory breakfast)

L: Sweet apple chicken sausages from Trader Joe's half of a sweet potato

D: TBD - my bf's dad is coming to town so we will take him out, potentially to a steakhouse and I will get chicken

E: We better fit in a gym trip this afternoon, since I know with his parents in town and the kids all weekend, there will be no working out

I can't wait to see crockpot recipes tomorrow!  I love love love turkey chili, bbq chicken and a few other things in the crockpot, so I am excited to expand my repertoire.  I have just gotten intrigued by an Instant Pot and that may be my request for a Christmas gift :)

Have a great day and stay warm!  Hugs!

Migraines stink!! I haven't had one in a long time (since long before surgery), but I used to get them regularly... I had light aura migraines... the sparkly kind... they were wicked!

Hello Menu friends

Spending my day getting ready to travel to Tulsa for the weekend. My son is a professional ballet dancer and has a leading role in the production so I'm excited.  When I get back it's back to work for me!
