What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Use an all beef, kosher dog, grilled or sauteed in a pan to bring out the flavor.. add good chili, and nice fresh grated cheese... maybe a few onions, and heck a dollop or sour cream/greek yogurt.
None of that turkey business!

Have you seen how many calories are in a regular hot dog??? Geez. I have hink I need to purge the WIenerschnitzel hot dog from my memory.
Good morning Daisy and menu friends ,
Woke up this morning to a winter wonderland . Its still coming down and it's cold . I slept last night with 2 shirts a hoodie and my heating pad . Me the girl who Didnt wear a winter coat .
QOTD : So far I think the worst advice I have gotten is from my weight loss center they really push the carbs and higher calories. Also they didn't mention at all about the honeymoon period. I had no idea that I had this window of optimal time to get as much weight off as I could.
Menu
B 1 hard boiled egg, 1 chicken nibbler
L Protein Drink, pb2
D 2 oz of steak
S Plain Greek yogurt
Totals
562 calories 86 gr protein
LOL. I have not worn a coat in at least ten years. since surgery, never been so cold in my LIFE. I sleep on a heating pad, with all the blankets I own. Swimming is now a different experience, boy is it cold in tha****er. Amazing what fat did for/to us.
Good morning from Montreal!
my dad had a dr apt in mtl so I drove down early this morning! No snow yet!
qotd: at my six week apt the dietician was showing a sample meal and it had like over 2 cups of food in it! A few of us tried explaining that is just not possible!
other than that, it's more what I wasn't told. Honeymoon phase, being the biggest!
Menu:
no idea as I'm on the road. But protein forward!
Still pre-op but surgery scheduled...woo!
QOTD: Worst advice so far....don't get the surgery. I'm sure I'll have more down the road. Also, my NUT says that I will need extra calories, but I'm not putting that much stock into that since she told me that I needed to stock up on oatmeal and cream of wheat for post-op. eye roll
B: sausage patty, hb egg
L: tuna, light mayo, small pickle
S: string cheese wrapped in bruschetta that I found at store yesterday
D: Low carb meatloaf, I guess. Nothing sounds good, so I'll just sneak something that I can eat into the family meal so I don't have to cook twice!
S: vanilla greek yogurt (if I need it)
T minus 32 days and counting!

It was so foggy this morning that it took me almost an hour to get to my office... thus putting me 15 minutes late for my Thursday call... way to impress the new boss (who was sitting in on soon-to-be-retired boss's conference call) Oops
QOTD: I think my doctor is pretty on point, except for when he told me I should enjoy my time in Key West and eat some key lime pie... Um, no thank you. Not trying out sugar on vacation with 7 other people sharing the cottage! LOL I have only seen the NUT 3 times pre-surgery... I kind of tuned her out, truth be told. I was already reading enough, and learning enough, that I just went through the motions with her. Tired of hearing that I need to exercise more if I want to lose more. I KNOW exercise is great for you, your muscles, cardiovascular system, etc... but it won't make me lose a ton more weight!
B: Premier Portein shake, consumed in the boss's office during said conference call
L: I have 1 more baggie of steak in there... will I eat it is the question. Yesterday it sat heavy in me all evening!
D: Chicken legs IN MY NEW INSTANT POT!
S: beef jerky, or protein bar, or quest chips... or nothing. That's what I will choose from should I need it in the evening. I don't need anything extra during the day
Weight this morning: 176.2

The Instant Pot is apparently a miracle pot. I have yet to use mine, but I have high hopes!
It does the work of several machines... it will brown food in the same pot that it can slow cook it in, pressure cook it, steam it, and I'm not sure what else. You can definitely google it and check it out though, because that's what I did when I heard about it, and now I own one! LOL They can also make yogurt, if you are so inclined, and get the 7-1!
(And I am doing it a disservice, and I know there are more things you can do with it... there are Pros out there that can tell you the miracles within! LOL)
