What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
I think you should go for Day of the Dead... bright and lively colors
And I also want to agree with you... we didn't lose the ability to do things overnight... I got quite creative with painting my toe nails, it wasn't a pretty site, but it got the job done never the less... Now it's just easier, and I don't look like I'm trying to contort myself to do it (and I can breath!)

you nailed it Grim, its not like overnight we suddenly could not do stuff, it took awhile. I had forgot "getting out of cars." You know do this day hubby still puts the seat all the way back and the steering wheel up for me if he drives my car because I could not get my stomach and boobs behind the wheel when he drove pre surgery. We laugh about it now but that was my life pre surgery.
As to your QOTD: I have lots of ideas but come on I can't say, JB is my girl and there is no way I am going to be part of your shenanigans LOL
Shenanigans is a great word.

This clown business is both ridiculous, and eerily scary at the same time!

QOTD: Life. Life is easier. Walking, breathing, cooking, simply standing still supporting my own body weight...all easier. Driving, reaching down for my parking brake release while buckled, cleaning my house, fitting into "normal sized" spaces like restaurant booths, hotel showers, and turnstiles without turning sideways-easier.
Even fitting into an elevator is easier. When my daughter moved into an apartment, and we had to move her bed, we managed to squish the mattress into the elevator so we didn't have to lug it up 7 flights of stairs like we did her box spring ( which was a NSV for me, no way could I have done that at 293 lbs. ). The mattress, my daughter, my twin sons, and I were all wedged in tightly. I was stuck in a corner with just my eyes and nose peeking out. ( we laughed all the way up too. ) I know before surgery, I'd have had to let them go up without me because there was NO WAY I'd have been able to squeeze my ass into a tiny space like that.
Moments like that make me even more grateful for this wonderful tool I've been given.
Sorry my answer is a novel.
Today's menu:
B: coffee+, and had a protein shake this morning.
L: leftover ground beef (cooked too much the other night) topped with cheese
S: if needed, yogurt or some pepperoni
D: chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage "meatatarian gumbo-ish stuff"...hub is cooking tonight, so I'm not totally sure what he's planning, but this is my best guess.
Today feels like Monday 2.0 today. Bluhhh.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

I love your answer Audrey! YES YES YES to all those things you listed (and I love reading response so write a novel, its all good!)
So interesting you wrote about the elevator... I work at a hospital and its elevators everywhere, pre surgery I had to take elevators because I could not physically do stairs yet I hated taking elevators as I was so big I took up space of like 2-3 skinny people! What an awesome NSV!
I love your "meat-a-tarian" gumbo dish... yummmmmm
And I could not agree more on today feels like a Monday 2.0, hurry up and be over already! LOL
