What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Good morning everyone!
I cant wait for the crockpot recipes! I use mine constantly during the winter and having post op recipes will be great. Good luck with the interview and surgery ladies.

And just so you know if it takes 30 or 1 or 2 or 3 hours after you eat dense protein to drink then it is what it is, happens to me too at 3 years post op, you are doing everything right.
Happy Tuesday. Late post for me. I was in San Diego yesterday for a mediation, and my boss is on vacation in China, so I've spent the past 2+ hours digging through all the emails he sent at 2:00 in the morning. Just happy he didn't ask me to stay up so we could live chat. I know I shouldn't complain given where I live and the weather I consistently have, but it was cold this morning. In the low '50s and we're supposed to have rain starting thurs/fri. It rained both parts of my drive yesterday, so the 120 miles took me 4.5 hours in the morning and 4 hours coming home. It was a really long day. Oh, and sadness for me . . . When I was doing my hair this morning I ended up with a ton of strands in my hand. I thought I was going to get lucky on the hair loss front this time around, since with my VSG, my loss started right at the 3 month mark and I'm now almost 4 months post conversion to RNY. I lost about 1/3 of my hair the first time around. I hope it was just normal shedding and that I'm not going down the hair loss path again.
My plan:
B: 2.9 oz turkey breast
L: ??? I had literally nothing at home. Probably a chicken breast from Pollo Loco with a side of broccoli
D: Tri tip and asparagus
S: ??? I brought a protein shake with me as well as a yogurt and 2.75 oz of roasted chicken. It will depend on what I'm in the mood for. I'm definitely going to try and get the protein shake in since the hair loss is freaking me out.
No totals since so much is up in the air. But if I had to guestsimate without looking at MFP, I'd say under 950 and 80+g of protein.
Good afternoon,
Sunny and chilly here today. Just stepped out for a few minutes to get away from desk. Wish I could just escape for the rest of the day.
QOTD: There are so many things that I used to find difficult; the worst was always climbing the stairs with a basket of laundry, now I can manage both flights without becoming breathless.
B: 1 egg, 2 oz turkey
L: 2 oz. roast beef, 1 oz american cheese
D: Chicken breast, sweet potato
S: Dannon L&F Greek, Balanced Breaks, laughing cow wedge w/Marys gone crackers
Cals: 897 Carbs: 48 Protein: 83 Fat: 42

Late post today! Had pre-op visits all morning followed by meetings for several hours at work. Finishing up all the things here at work so I can start my leave tomorrow for my surgery. So...I met with the surgeons this morning and I gotta say...I need to buy a lottery ticket because apparently it is my lucky year!
Wait for it...
Wait...
ARMS AND THIGHS TOO
WWWWHhhhhaaaaaa?!?!?!?!
Yeap... Getting the full package done. Full tummy tuck with muscle tightening, fluer de lis if needed; bilateral arm lift (long convo about which parts of my tattooing is going to be missing); bilateral thigh lift (spiral); breast lift with augmentation.
I think I will be the bionic woman when they are done with me!
I know it is a bunch to do at once but darn it that 100% covered thing is just too much of a golden window! If I don't do it now I might never be able to afford it. Doc says he is willing to do so much at once because I have about zero fat left on my body and so the skin will heal very well. He said once he reviewed the photographs more and discussed it with the surgeon removing the bladder sling he decided he did not need to make me wait to get the arms and thighs. WOW!!!!
I paid my $400 co-insur and to the lady in hospital admissions and told her I would be happy to pay it twice if she wanted. LOL I still can't believe this is happening all for just 400 bucks. Crazy!!
So...off I go into the wild blue yonder. Wish me luck!
QOTD: Walking. Had no idea how drained I was before. Now I feel like I can walk forever without feeling any pain or exhaustion.
Menu: All Day Buffet, Nervous with a side of nervous. B: salami and mozzarella knots, L: Oatmega bar on the run, D: Not sure yet.
See you all soon!
