What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
How lucky you are that your surgeon gave you a "different surgery" LOL. People are so creative when it comes to judging.
Hi menu gang,

Have a good day
Hello Daisy and menu friends.
Oh boy I'm exhausted, had to get up at 0430 this Am to get ready for a Doctors appointment with my orthopedic surgeon. He's at Sunnybrook hospital which is located in downtown Toronto. Daisy I don't know how you commute every day, oh the stress it gives me. So I'm on the waiting list for my 2nd knee replacement. Had my left knee done last November. I'm hoping the recovery will be easier with the weight loss.
QOTD : I'm just 4 1 /2 months post op so I'm still in the losing phase. Haven't had these things happen to me yet. It must be so frustrating when people think you don't have to work hard at maintenance or when your constantly being offered goodies at work. Your chilli sounds delicious Daisy, I must make some this week. I put chick peas in mine as well along with kidney beans also started adding lentils to help in the bathroom department.

For me the idea is to think about my day, what is happening and what food I have in my house and make a plan. It doesn't mean I don't change it as the day progresses.... that often happens.

first time I've been on here today. Had to get up early to drive my sister and her daughter to the airport (two hours each way), then go to my stepmother's to make a dent in their office (unbelievably full of stuff - and she's been too sick and overwhelmed to do anything with it), then to dinner with my brother and his friends. Now at my brother's house (he's back in town!!)
QOTD: the only person who's really tried pushing food with me is my stepmother. She wants me to come back to her house tomorrow and stay with her for another night or two, so I'll be fighting it again. Arrrgh!
17 months out:
B: L&F pumpkin yogurt with added protein powder and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: protein shake, Pure Protein bar, 2 SF fudgesicles
L: 1 C turkey chili
D: the "pepper-coated sirloin with vegetables and whole grains" dish at Applebees. I intended to eat only half of it but shoveled in the whole thing. Crap. But it was 29 grams of protein and 380 kcal, which meant I was still under 1200 for the day. But boy was my pouch unhappy afterward. Never again!!
