WOW, Daisy...what a transformation! Holy crap! But I see your infectious positivity and enthusiasm in your before and after pics!
Like you, I think EVERY DAY about how thankful I am to have had surgery. I am a thousand times more active and I think back to how much food I could (and did!) eat, how my knees were starting to hurt, and how tough little things like stairs and hills and hot days were. That being said, I would never ever ever approach someone and tell them about WLS. I knew I was fat, and definitely didn't need anyone to relay that to me ;)
It's nice here in the DC area (75 degrees) but rain is on its way and apparently tomorrow it will feel like the 40s. Ugh. Though I do love leggings with tall boots!
Here is a before and after pic. The before is from a wedding about 2 months before my RNY, so I was probably about 350 lbs. The after is a wedding a couple of months ago, so I was probably 165 lbs, and I have had a lower body lift, breast lift, and arm lift. My legs are a hot mess and I don't normally wear anything knee length, but even I can appreciate how far I have come! (Shout out to my incredible plastic surgeon Dr. Joseph Michaels in Rockville, MD!).
My menu today and this weekend is high in protein but includes some treats. I am making an apple pie for the fam so I will have a small piece. Other foods include deli sandwiches, wings, chicken tenders, eggs and bacon.
Have a wonderful day and weekend, all!
Fantastic! So lovely! ~E

You're so kind! And re: your question about post-plastics, will you be happy or want to fix errrrything? It's hard to say! I went in thinking I needed a tummy tuck and boob lift. My surgeon showed me how once the front was fixed, the back would be extra droopy, so I went for a lower body lift. Once my abs and boobs and butt were on point, suddenly I realized, "ok I want to do arms too" (which I was really hoping to avoid so I wouldn't have visible scars - I mean very few people see my LBL or BL scars, but arm scars, I mean what if I suddenly became a fervent baseball fan and wanted to throw my arms up in the air LOL?). So I could have lived without the arms, but I decided to go for it. Go get your plastics next week, give yourself time to heal and time for your brain and eyes to catch up with your new body, and maybe set a date for Spring when you will assess and see if anything else is needed. To be honest, you look stunning to all of us, so it's clearly all in our heads when we see our flaws, but only you can make a decision of what work to have done!
I can't wait till you're out of anesthesia next week and on the road to a flat tummy and lifted ladies!!!
