What's on the Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning Daisy and menu gang,
Today sure feels like fall. Hope you get good results from your iron infusion Daisy.
Thankyou so much for the many kind words yesterday, I will definitely share a picture of my tattoo soon.
QOTD I totally hear what your saying about many of your clothing fears especially panty hose. Basically I was uncomfortable in my own skin. Still have a ways to go to get to my goal weight but I'm starting to feel more comfortable and confident. Looking forward to when I can wear most anything and feel good in it.
Menu
B Protein drink with PB2
L Chicken nibbler and Baby bell
D Ground turkey with taco seasoning mixed with a bit of shredded lettuce salsa and cheddar.

Yes I think Fall has arrived! Fingers crossed for my II (iron infusion) too, thanks for the well wishes!
I was for sure uncomfortable in my own skin pre surgery, you nailed it there! And some days now I still feel uncomfortable. Almost like I am an impostor... I relate to fat Daisy, not slim Daisy...
Great looking menu, keep up the great work, those numbers are awesome!!!
QOTD: I was a fashionable fat person..or at least I tried.....but didn't do dresses or stockings.... I wore dresses only in the summer when I could wear maxis or get away with no stockings. In the summer I use Sally Hansen Airbrush legs on my legs because I have extensive scarring on my legs- it tones it down enough I don't get a constant barrage of 'what is wrong with your legs' questions.... I am so glad not to be shopping at Avenue and Lane Bryant anymore... it seemed like they had the same clothes every year in different fabrics.
Routine is challenging when others are here. Today is Bagel day for breakfast... and I know tonight they will be having ice cream. Lasagna went well yesterday as the lasagna was very loose and 'gushy' so I was able to scoop up insides mostly onto my plate and not pasta. Did my exercises yesterday in the midst of the chaos.... my son said this morning my DIL wants to do it with me today, so I will wait. :) I was angry at my son yesterday because he turned off the ringer on my phone without telling me while the baby was napping...so it stayed off and I missed the call I was waiting for for 2 days from the Doctor about changing my meds ... I feel more on keel, but the staying up too late and not being able to sleep is killing me... then I tend to do unplanned snacking... so scale is still not budging.... Trying to stay in the moment and just enjoy the family... and make good choices in the midst.

2: Chicken soup- extra chicken added and spaghetti squash noodles
3: Chicken verde (maybe)
snacks: hard boiled eggs, chocolate chai latte, greek yogurt with added protein, syntrax fuzzy navel

you are another person who didn't let their size dictate their wardrobe. Good for you, I has the total opposite, and I mean total opposite. I totally agree on the not having to shop at the plus size store, I swear it was the same clothes year and year as well. And why do plus size stores carry so much damn animal print, like we as MO ladies all want to be reminded we look and feel like "animals' now you put us in animal print? I am not a fan of animal print for a top, I would totally wear a pair of leopard print heels or have an accessory like a scarf but not in tops not any more!
Glad the lasagna went well. And hells yes to being off "routine" it sucks, but you know its not forever. Just ENJOY your grand kids and your son & DIL. Forget the rest, the scale and the workouts and the protein and all that will still be there next week when they are gone. Live in the now, be with your family, you deserve it.
Not very nice of your son to not at least tell you he turned the ringer off. I hope you get your meds sorted out soon, it sucks not feeling well or feeling like yourself.
Remember ENJOY your family!!!
QOTD: I never liked sleeveless shirts or anything made out of printed fabric. Well, stripes were fine, but I never would have worn stripes at 373 lbs. The other day, though, I bought a striped sweater - horizontal stripes!! I still won't wear sleeveless shirts, though - not with these batwing arms! It's elbow-length or longer!
16 months out
B: L&F coconut vanilla yogurt with added protein powder, 5 strawberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola
S: protein shake, maybe coffee with half & half
L: if we're home, probably asparagus soup and a L&F yogurt. If we're out, not sure - something bariatric-friendly or a protein bar
D: chili
probably another Greek yogurt at some point
Yes, I have way more striped clothes!

On retrospect it's kind of funny that we all know the rules about fat girls not being allowed to wear horizontal stripes. Like we were fooling anyone? I don't think the lack of stripes provided enough visual trickery on earth to hide my fat... We should have just worn the stripes!
