What's on the Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Just coincidentally, the meat section is on a straight line from the register through the Quest bars. I'm not hard to find!

We have a lot of the same weather that you guys do in Boston, so its chilly here too.
YAY on 32 down in 5 weeks, that is awesome! And win win win for no more meds, that is wonderful news, proud of you!!!!
Good looking menu! And eggs, you know Karen that even at 3 yrs post op for me eggs can still be hit or miss! Its frustrating because I love eggs! Do you like ketchup with your eggs (I know some people are dead set against it) I ask because if you like it you could use some SF ketchup with your HB egg and see if it sits better. But yes I can eat an egg and have it sit like a brick and some days fine, go figure.
I love Wendy's chili, I remember early post op like you I ate lots of that as well, and it was easy to have that if you were going to be out running around doing errands
Keep up the great work!
Hi yall! It's my friday! Leaving here by 1 PM is the goal! we will see but I'm working 1/2 day and I'm in back to back meetings until noon so it will be a challenge. Ideally won't leave until 2-3.
I packed a lot last night- its my first trip so I'm sure I'm over packing a ton- I don't care. I made DH a krispy creme/cupcake bread pudding last night for the trip. I also made him biscuits for the eggs/cheese I will be making. Asked DH to get a few things for me at walmart- one of those being bacon. (and I specifically said turkey) he brought home regular, oh well, sure it will be eaten. by him mostly and I might have a piece or two... DH has NEVER BEEN CAMPING! He came from a very poor family and family vacations didn't happen. I'm so excited for him and want him to have the best first experience and a good experience for me (since I hated camping as a child, mostly because I was a fat kid and I was hot all the time).
QOTD: NO SHORTS!! They would ride up my huge thunder thighs and would chafe. Still do not wear them. couldn't tuck anything in, no belts, no skirts above mid calf because I was scared to see knees (still have this issue). Didn't like skirts that button up either.
My goal for this next 4 days is to move, move move and not be a lazy bum. there are walking trails at this place and stables so I will try like heck to take advantage.
Yesterday I went a little higher on calories 827 instead of 780/90 ptot/56 carb
Today's menu
B: i think a protein muffin/CM milk/decaf
S: not sure but I will be making up some protein pancakes before I leave so I can have those on trip
L: probably on road :)
d: leftovers or something combined with a late lunch
S: not sure just yet but on plan
Bless your heart for making him all those treats! How do you do that without getting tempted? i am a cook and a baker, but right now i can't bring myself to make anything (that isnt protein forward), since i can't eat it. I guess its something I may need to learn in time, but I just don't see it happening with my diet restrictions. One of my many stupid anxieties. What are your thoughts?

when going away on vacation I always plan to "leave" at a certain time and it never happens, LOL so good luck getting out at a good time!
I am an "over packer" I think its in my DNA, I just can't help it. I can't believe your husband has never been camping, you would think people would have been at least once in their life. I didn't/don't like camping either. I just can't wrap my head around sleeping in a tent on the ground? Why? Now if I had a fancy camper like you and Karenp8 have then I would seriously consider it, but then that's not "camping" to me, that's more like " home away from homing it" LOL LOL Hope you have an amazing time and can't wait to see pics of the mountains!
I am sure you will be moving a lot once you get to your destination, trails and stables sound awesome.
Enjoy and be safe!
A few months after surgery I bought some turkey bacon. I threw it out before it was even halfway cooked. The smell was abysmal. Never again.
Go real or go home.

turkey bacon is the equivalent of "Canadian bacon" like what's the point, they are not bacon! ha ha ha
Sorry. Blech. If I can't stand smelling it, I won't taste it.
